Robert E. Miller, 63, of Ashland,PA passed away Friday, July 2,2021 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA. Born in Ashland May 28,1958 the son of the late Robert Guern and Patricia Ann (Boylan) Miller. Bob was a United States Army Veteran and graduated from Mt. Carmel High School.Bob worked for 30 years as a newspaper carrier for the REPUBLICAN-HERALD NEWSPAPER

Sara K. Berger, 64, of Pine Grove, passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2021 at Ridgeview Health & Rehab Center, Shenandoah.
Born on June 7, 1957 in Pottsville, she was a daughter of the late Norman and Mary Kerschner Berger.
She was a 1975 graduate of Pine Grove High School.
Sara was a member of Hetzel's Lutheran Church, Pine Grove, where she was a member and treasurer of the ELCA and sang in the choir for many years.
She enjoyed reading and Sudoku puzzles.
Surviving are her brother, Henry and wife Joan Berger; a sister, Anna Berger, both of Schuylkill Haven; a niece Jennifer and husband Jeff Stump of Pine Grove; a great nephew, Brian Stump.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Hetzel's Church, 261 Hetzel's Church Rd., Pine Grove with John Reis officiating. There will be a visitation on Saturday, July 10, 2021 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the Church. Interment will follow in Hetzel's Cemetery, Pine Grove.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to Hetzel's Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 233 Hetzel's Church Rd. Pine Grove, PA 17963 in her memory.

She was born on Sunday, August 12, 1928, in Valley View, a daughter of the late Homer C Matter and the late Iva E (Schade) Matter.
She was a graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School.
Shirley was a seamstress in area garment factories prior to her retirement.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View.
Shirley enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.
Her husband Eugene G Fesig, to whom she was marred for 70 years, passed away on Feb 24, 2021. She was also preceded in death by her parents; by three sisters, Thelma Matter, Arlene Savidge, and Elva Kocher, and by two brothers, Paul Matter and Warren Matter.
She is survived by a daughter, Karen L Schwalm and her husband Daniel of Valley View; two grandsons, Matthew D Schwalm and his wife Ashley of Dillsburg and Adam M Schwalm and his wife Tabitha of Valley View; two great grandsons, Jacob Schwalm and Jeremiah Schwalm both of Valley View; four great granddaughters, Kelly Schwalm of Valley View, Naomi Schwalm of Dillsburg, Josie Schwalm of Dillsburg, and Eliana Schwalm of Dillsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View.
Burial will be made in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Valley View.

She was born on Sunday, December 1, 1935, in Fountain, a daughter of the late Norman W Kembel and the late Hazel S (Smith) Kembel.
She was a 1953 graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School .
Grace was a teacher's aid at Hegins Hubley Elementary School prior to her retirement.
She was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Hegins. Grace served on the council as a Deacon and was the first female Elder in her church. She also was a member of the church choir, and taught Sunday School and Bible School for many years.
Grace was very civic minded serving on the Bicentennial Committee in 1976, the Hegins Craft Fair Committee, and the Relay for Life for many years. She was also an entertainer, singing at numerous weddings and funerals, and was known for her comedy routines.
Her first husband, Robert C Huntzinger passed away in 1975; her second husband, Boyd L Wedde passed away in 2018.
She is survived by four daughters, Barbara S Huntsinger and her husband Darrell of Valley View, Rose M Huntzinger of Lititz, Molly A Masser of Mechanicsburg, and Peggy A Snyder and her husband Russell of Elizabethville; a son, Randy Wedde; a former son in law, Michael D Masser of Pitman; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Claude Schach officiating.
Burial will be made in Friedens Cemetery, Hegins.
