Jean M. Seltzer, 92, of Pottsville entered into eternal rest Friday afternoon at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville.Born June 7, 1929 in Pottsville, she was the daughter of the late Joseph J. Frew and the late Frances (Brehony) Cassidy.
Growing up in the small borough of Mt. Carbon, she attended the former St. Francis DeSales Roman Catholic Church and graduated from Pottsville High School in 1946. She was employed as a medical secretary and office manager for Dr. Amiclar Longarini in Pottsville. She later became a parishioner at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church. In her free time she enjoyed ceramics and painting. Many of her pieces have been passed down to her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Gerald R. Seltzer, Sr. (2011); son Gerald R. Seltzer, Jr.; and her step-father M. Matthias W. Cassidy.
Jean leaves behind a daughter Patricia Seiberling wife of Tom, Frackville; grandsons Mark Seiberling husband of Amanda, Philadelphia; Brian Seiberling husband of Amy, Ohio; and Christopher Seltzer husband of Tia, Schuylkill Haven; and nine grandchildren Abbey, Kylie, Aubrey, Jacob and Kennedy Seiberling; Sydney Seiberling; and Ava, Mason, and Hudson Seltzer.
Funeral Services will be held 11AM Tuesday at Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home 515 West Market St. Pottsville. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 9AM until the time of the service. Interment will be held on the grounds of Calvary Cemetery, Hillside.

Bernadene Michalik, 86 of South Warren Street, Orwigsburg, passed away, peacefully, Saturday August 14, in her son-in-law’s home.Born in Shenandoah, she was a daughter of the late Anthony J. and Anna Barronis Benedict. She was a 1953 graduate of J. W. Cooper High School, a 1957 graduate of Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA. She also did graduate work at Harvard University, Boston, Massachusetts and Boston University.
She was a teacher at Lewistown School District, Mifflin County and Blue Mountain School District, Orwigsburg, Pa. She was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven.
She is survived by her son-in-law Clarence "Doot" Shappell, widower of Darleen, grandchildren Todd and Scott Shappell and great grandchildren Katelyn Marie, Brandon Scott, Todd Michael Jr. and Brodey Shappell as well as cousins.
Preceding her in death was her husband Stanley J. Michalik on March 3, 2002 and her adopted daughter, Darleen Shappell on October 25, 2019.
A Religious Service will be held at 11:00 on Friday, August 20th at Hamilton - Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. in Orwigsburg. A visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until time of service at 11:00.

Interment will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Inc. Schuylkill Haven.

Joseph E. Leskosky, of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at home while in the loving care of his family at 85 yers of age.Born Monday, January 6, 1936 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania the son of the late Pauline L. (Leskosky) Zacher. Joe was also predeceased by his step father, Marty Zacher.
Surviving are; his beloved wife of 42 years, Christine E. (Yount) Leskosky; son, Steven Woodward of Tamaqua; daughter, Christine E. Boyle of Tamaqua; brothers, Marty Zacher and his wife, Denise of Mount Pocono, Michael Zacher of Mount Pocono; sisters, Doris Peltz and her husband, Ernie residing in Texas, Susan Valent and her husband, Joseph of Wilmington, DE; grandchildren, Mark T. Boyle and his fiancée Liz Hosler, Kendra C. Boyle; great grandchildren, Emma Boyle, McKenzie, and McKayla; good friends, Allen Koch and his wife Elaine. Many nieces and nephews also survive Joe.
Joe served his country honorably, serving with the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired as a manager for Kane Steel after 45 years having worked until his seventieth birthday. Joe loved his job. He was a member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, and American Manufacturing Association.
A member of St. John XXIII R.C.C. of Tamaqua, Joe was an active member of the Holy Name Society of St. John, and the St. Francis DePaul Society of the church. A member of Knights of Columbus Henry Baker Lodge, Joe also belonged to the Catholic War Veterans, and Holy Cross Holy Name of New Philadelphia.
Joe enjoyed fishing, and dotting on his grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He will be deeply missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday August 17, 2021 at 11 o'clock A.M. from St. John XXIII R.C.C. 307 Pine Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252.
Interment with Military Honors tobe bestowed Wednesday August 18, 2021 10:30 A.M. Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery Annville, Pennsylvania.

Darryl A. Shadle, Jr., 34, of Pine Grove, passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021 in Northumberland County.
Born on January 22, 1987 in Lebanon, he was a son of Sheila and Wade Frantz and Darryl Shadle, Sr. and companion Tina Cole, all of Pine Grove.
He was a 2005 graduate of Pine Grove Area High School where he was a member of the wrestling team.
Darryl was a roofer working in construction.
He loved to be outdoors, hunting, fishing, tinkering with things, working on cars, kids, animals, and Hershey Bears Hockey.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Fran and Buddy Donofrio and Albert "Ap" Shadle.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are two brothers, Josh Shadle and Tennyson Shadle; a step brother, Preston Frantz and companion Carol Heim and their daughter, Quinn Frantz; grandmother, Helen Shadle, all of Pine Grove; aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Memorial Services will be held on Friday, August 20, 2021 at 3:00 pm. There will be a visitation on Friday, August 20, 2021, from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at the Funeral Home.
