The Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville are investigating an incident that occurred on Saturday on Interstate 81 in Schuylkill County.
According to Troopers, around 9:00pm, Saturday, Manuel Landa Zuart, 33, of Hazleton was traveling south on Interstate 81 in Kline Township.
Landa Zuart told Troopers, near mile marker 138, a Gray/Silver Ford Escape with a black rear bumper came up behind him on the Interstate at a high rate of speed and struck the right rear corner of his Saturn Outlook.
The impact pushed Landa Zuart toward the dashed center line.
The driver of the Escape was said to have accelerated again striking the rear of the Saturn a second time, almost causing him to spin out.
Landa Zuart followed the Escape as the driver attempted to flee south and exit the Interstate at the Delano Exit.
The driver continued to flee through Delano taking turns down alleys until Landa Zuart lost sight of the vehicle.
Landa Zuart suffered a knee injury during the incident. An adult passenger, and three children in the vehicle were not injured.
State Police are still attempting to locate the Ford Escape and identify the driver.
