A man is in custody after a drug bust in Minersville on Wednesday Morning.
According to Minersville Patrolman Jeffrey Bowers, around 7:40am, Wednesday, Minersville Police along with other members of law enforcement executed a search warrat at 227 South Delaware Street in the borough.
Upon entering the home, police found Carlos Antonio Cruz, 51, and Rachel Poor in an upstairs bedroom.
Once both were secured, officers began a search of the home which led to the finding a quantity of prepackaged bulk heroin along with prepackaged marijuana.
Paraphernalia such as digital scales, glassine baggies and a large quantity of hypodermic needles were found.
Cruz would later admit to police claiming ownership of all the illegal items inside the home.
All items were seized and secured as evidence with the controlled substances being prepared to be transported to the Pennsylvania State Police Crime Lab in Bethlehem.
Cruz was also wanted by Schuylkill County Detectives on other charges. He was lodged in Schuylkill County Prison awaiting further court action.
For Wednesday's raid, Cruz will be charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
