PennDOT Reduces Speeds on Interstate 81

Due to the severity of the inclement weather hitting the region, PennDOT is temporarily reducing the speed limits on Interstate 80 in Carbon and Monroe counties and Interstate 81 in Schuylkill County in east central Pennsylvania.
Speed limits will be restricted to 55 mph on this roadway for all vehicles. Additional speed restrictions on other interstates or expressways could be added depending on changing conditions.

When conditions improve, PennDOT will remove the travel restrictions.
