Aliene C. Oliver, 96, of Cressona, passed away Monday, September 13th, at her daughter's residence in Lansdowne, PA.

Aliene was born in Cressona on August 6, 1925, a daughter of the late Joseph & Lilly (Dornsife) Brown.

She was the widow of Robert E. Oliver, Jr., whom she married October 17, 1947. He preceded her in death in 1994.

Ailene is also preceded in death by two brothers, William & Donald Brown. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She was a graduate of Cressona High School, Class of 1943.

Ailene was a member of St. Mark's United Church of Christ, Cressona, and the American Legion Cressona Post #286. She also belonged to the Good Will Hose Co. Ladies Aux., Cressona, Cressona Fire Co. #1, Stanley Dengler Legion Aux., and the Cressona High School Alumni Association.

She retired in 1989 after 25 years of service from Pennsylvania National Bank, Cressona as head teller. Ailene was previously employed by Agway, Cressona, and had served as the Borough of Cressona Tax Collector for several years.

Surviving are daughter Susan Hart, (widow of Robert), Lansdowne; a son Joseph Oliver (Brenda), Cressona; grandchildren Sean Close, Lansdowne, Carl Oliver (Elizabeth), Schuylkill Haven, & Marie Oliver, Cressona, and great-grandchildren Corey and Dylan Hinkle, Lansdowne, and Sophia, Samuel, Simon, & Savannah Oliver, Schuylkill Haven, and many friends, nieces, & nephews.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 18th at Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home in Cressona, with Rev. Krista Roehrig officiating. A viewing for family and friends will be held 10:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Cressona Cemetery, Cressona.

Clarence "Poopsy" S. Wilson
, age 63, of Pottsville, PA passed away Monday, September 13th, 2021 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest in Allentown.

Born in Pottsville, PA on March 2, 1958, he was the son of the late Henry C. and Martha V. (Troup) Wilson.

Poopsy was a graduate of Pottsville High School, Class of 1977. He worked for Phillips Van Heusen in Pottsville until retiring. Poopsy was a lifelong avid billiards player, an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia 76ers, and the family prankster and story teller.

Poopsy is survived by his longtime companion of 47 years, Bev Houtz; sisters: Margaret Wilson, Sandra Wilson (Jan), and Mary Jane Wilson; brothers: Dennis Troup, Robert Wilson (Jayne), and Richard Wilson (Eva); his special niece Marie Wilson; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

A Religious Service will be held at the Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home in Port Carbon at 11AM on Thursday, September 16th, with James Fryer officiating.

Relatives and Friends are invited to a viewing on Thursday from 6-8PM and Friday from 10-11AM at the Funeral Home.

Interment will be in the Schuylkill Memorial Park Cemetery in Schuylkill Haven.

Helen Hayes
, 99 years 11 months, & 28 days formerly of Tamaqua, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021, while a guest at St. Luke's Miners Memorial in Coaldale, Pennsylvania.

Born Friday, September 16, 1921 in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania, Helen would have celebrated her 100th birthday on Thursday. She was predeceased by her husband, William B. Hayes, parents Metro and Mary (Zelinka) Trubilla, son Charles Hayes, sisters, Irene Trubilla, Anna Trubilla, Mary Sherpinsky; brothers, John, Charles, Michael, and Frank Trubilla; great granddaughter, Hailee Hayes.

Helen was previously employed by the former Coaldale State Hospital in the laundry. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, Lansford, Pennsylvania, and a member of the Tamaqua Senior Citizens. Helen enjoyed trips to the casino, and holidays spent with her family.

Surviving are son, Leonard Hayes and his wife Donna of Bloomsburg; daughter, Marlene Bickleman and her husband, Joe of Tamaqua; six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, Many nieces and nephews also survive her.

Vasyl Chepelsky to officiate. Friends may call on Friday morning September 17, 2021 at the funeral home from 9:00 A.M. until 10:15 A.m. at which time a Panachida Service will be held.

Interment St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church Cemetery Summit Hill, Pennsylvania.

Tracey J. (Barron) Horan
, beloved mother, sister, aunt of St. Peter's Church Road Village of Mantzville, Tamaqua, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021, at St. Luke's Miners Memorial in Coaldale, Pennsylvania at 52 years of age.

Born Tuesday, January 21, 1969 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Harry J. Barron, Jr., and Faye (Kreiger) Musselman. Tracey was also predeceased by; sister, Terry Alonge; brothers; Todd Fritz, William "Billy" Musselman; step-father, William Musselman.,

Surviving are son, Michael P. Horan and his fiancé Rebecca Akins of Tamaqua; sister, Lynn Kunkel wife of Mick of New Ringgold; brothers, Ronald Musselman of York, Harry "Butch" Barron and his wife Lynn of New Ringgold; nieces and nephew, Tanya, Travis, and Amanda; great nephews whom she adored, Ryan, Bryar, Keegan, Nolan, Lucas; step-mother, Donna Barron of New Ringgold.

A 1986 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School, Tracey had worked at Trans Western Polymers in Hometown for many years. Devoted to her family, Tracey enjoyed listening to music, doing word puzzles, and watching movies.

Eleanor Fufla
, 68 of Ringtown, departed her loving family on September 10, 2021.

Born in Shenandoah on December 10, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Helen Bauser and was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, and mother.

A 1970 graduate of Shenandoah Valley High School and a 1974 graduate of the Pennsylvania State University, Eleanor graduated with her degree in education and was a second grade teacher at Father Walter J. Ciszek School in Shenandoah until her retirement.

Eleanor was a member of the former St. George Church and later St. Michael's Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, both in Shenandoah. She was a dedicated member of the Catholic Church and encouraged others to show goodness and kindness through her personal example.

The simplest pleasures brought Eleanor great joy. She loved going out to eat with her husband and going on “jolly holidays” with her daughter. In her retirement, she also enjoyed playing the violin.

In addition to her parents, Eleanor is preceded in death by her brothers, James and Joseph Bauser.

Eleanor is survived by her devoted husband of 35 years, Michael, and her cherished daughter, Julie Yagielniskie, with her husband, Scott. She is also survived by three sisters, Eve Bauser, Helen Thomas, and Jane Paul, her sister-in-law, Shirley Bauser, and extended family.

As per her wishes, private services were held for her immediate family and in Eleanor’s memory, you are asked to perform an act of kindness for someone.

James W. “Perky” Cancierius
, 89, formerly of McAdoo, passed away Monday evening at St. Luke’s Hospice, Bethlehem.

Born in Audenried, he was the son of the late Theodore J. and Kathryn (Roberts) Cancierius.

Perky was a member of Welsh Congregational Church, Hazle Village, where he was Past President of the Board of Trustees.

He was a 1949 graduate of West Hazleton High School and was a Korean War Veteran, serving in the U.S. Army.

Prior to retiring, Perky was employed as a supervisor with PP&L for 41 years.

He was 32nd Degree Mason with the Hazle Azalea Fellowship Masonic Lodge #327 of Hazleton.

Preceding him in death, were his wife Marcella (Kudrick) Cancierius; sisters Anna Sannie and Freida Richards; and brother Theodore Cancierius.

Surviving, are his brother-in-law William H. Richards, of Whitehall; nephew William H. Richards III, of Summit Hill; and companion Dorothy Kudrick, of Lehighton.

His funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in Jacobs United Church of Christ, 138 Franklin St., Weissport. Interment will follow in Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown.

Calling hours will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Damiano Funeral Home, Inc., McAdoo, and Friday 10 to 11 a.m. in the church.

A Masonic Service will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
