Kurt M Chappell
, 38 of Mount Carmel was called home unexpectedly on September 16, 2021.

Kurt was born September 24,1982 at Pottsville Hospital to Barbara and the late Harry Chappell of Frackville. He attended North Schuylkill School District.

Kurt loved to spend his free time hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with his family. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Kurt loved working as an EMT for the past 20 years and always had a story to tell. Kurt proudly served the community as an EMT at Schuylkill EMS, West Schuylkill, Tamaqua EMS, and APTS. He was a volunteer firefighter at Goodwill, Engelwood and Citizens Fire Companies along with many others. He enjoyed watching his grandson play football and would ring his cowbell proudly.

Kurt is survived by his fiance Colleen Burson of Mount Carmel, mother Barbara Chappell of Frackville, his two daughters Brittany Chappell and Brooke Chappell of Lansford, a brother Harry Chappell and wife Laurie of Catasaqua. He is also survived by Chaide and Matthew Worhach of Mount Carmel and as Kurt would always call them "the lads" Colton, Landon, and Greyson Worhach, who lovingly called him "Pap Pap Kurt". He also leaves behind endless friends who he always thought of as family and his two dogs Jax and Denali.

Kurt will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

A memorial service for Kurt will be announced.

Lillian Ruth Chyke
, 90, of Hudson, Florida, passed away Friday, September 17, 2021.

Born in Philadelphia, June 15, 1931 a daughter of the late Donald and Ethel Klinger Hunter. She was raised in Tower City and a graduate of the former Tower City High School.

She and her late husband David Chyke resided in Tennessee, following his death in 2015, she relocated to Florida where she enjoyed spending time collecting shells on the beach, arts, crafts and all that Florida has to offer.

She is survived by her two sons, Timothy Chyke and his wife Arlene and Joel Chyke and his wife Denise. Grandchildren, Michelle Chyke, Joel Chyke, Jr. and Elizabeth Chyke-Mathews and her husband Benjamin.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 10:15-11:15 am at the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc., Tower City. Graveside services will follow at 11:30 am from the Greenwood Cemetery.

Anthony P. Esposito
, 66, of Pottsville died Sunday at home.

He was born March 4, 1955 in Brooklyn, NY a son of the late Elieen Morey Esposito Orlando.

He was a graduate of Schuylkill Haven Area High School.

Prior to retiring Tony worked at the former Walk-In Shoe Factory Schuylkill Haven, and Giant Food Stores, Pottsville.

He was of Catholic Faith.

Throughout his life Tony was an avid New York sports team fan and a fan of the Hershey Bears.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Karen Schor; a step-father Tony Orlando.

Surviving are his wife, Lou Ann Zerbe Esposito with you he celebrated 41 years of marriage with on September 6th; a son, Kyle Esposito, Pottsville; a daughter Melissa Hauptly, and her husband B.J. Pottsville; a grandson who was his best buddy, Jaxson Hauptly; a brother, Doug Esposito and his wife, Debra, Schuylkill Haven; his mother in law, Mary Zerbe, Pottsville; nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday at 11AM from James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 9AM until the time of services Saturday at the funeral home. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions in memory of Tony be made to Hillside SPCA PO Box 233 Pottsville, PA 17901 or Ruth Steiner SPCA PO Box 332 Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972. Interment will follow in Queen of the Universe Cemetery, Pottsville.
