The Schuylkill County Coroner's office was called to the scene of a house fire early Monday.
Just before 3:00am, Monday morning, emergency personnel were called to a house fire in the 100 Block of East Grand Avenue, in Tower City.
The first personnel on scene called in a working house fire and upgraded the call to a 2nd alarm with at least 2 homes on fire at the time.
It took crews several hours before marking it under control with the fire severely damaging the homes at the addresses of 141 and 139.
The Schuylkill County Coroner's Office was later called to the scene but no word at this time on the identity of the victim.
Several pets were also reported to have died in the fire.
By 6:30am, most of the crews had cleared the scene.
