On Thursday, October 28th, 2021, around 3:45pm, State Police and Fire responded to a vehicle fire on High Road in Butler Township near Lavelle.
Police say Jaron Renn, 21, of Sunbury was driving his Jeep Wrangler when he began to see smoke coming from the engine area. Renn pulled over and seen flames coming through the grill of the vehicle.
The Lavelle Fire Company responded and put out the fire.

On October 10th, 2021, a crash occurred on West Main Street in Hegin Township.
The crash occurred as Dennis Klinger, 77, of Millersburg was traveling west on Route 25 when his Lincoln-Continental crossed the center of the roadway and struck a utility pole head on near 1515 West Main Street.
After hitting the pole, he backed up and struck a second pole with the rear of the vehicle.
Klinger sustained minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital.
His passenger, Charlotte Klinger, 77, was not injured.
Klinger was cited for the crash.

On October 25th, 2021, around 6:00am, a crash occurred on Airport Road in Barry Township.
The crash involved an unknown vehicle striking a mailbox and sign at the intersection near the United Lutheran Church. Whoever struck both, fled the scene in an unknown direction.

On October 25th, 2021, a crash occurred on Route 61 near the intersection with West Market Street in North Manheim Township.
Police say Dennis Zellers, 66, of Pottsville was traveling south on Route 61 while Rita Murray, 72, of Orwigsburg was stopped at the traffic light on Market Street.
Murray attempted to cross Route 61 when she received a green light and was struck by Zellers as he ran the red light.
Both vehicles sustained disabling damage.
A passenger with Zellers, Deinse Gartner, 46, of Pottsville sustained serious injuries and was flown to an area hospital.
Zellers and Murray were not injured.
Assisting police at the scene was the Orwigsburg Fire Department, Schuylkill EMS, Moyer's Towing, and LifeFlight.
