Katherine Teichman
, 93, of Mahanoy City, PA, passed away Thursday, October 28th, at Lehigh Valley East Norwegian, Pottsville.

Katherine was born in Connerton, PA on September 20, 1928, a daughter of the late Marie (Walsh) and William Teichman.

Graduated from Mahanoy City High School.

She worked in Philadelphia as a bank teller for many years and then at City Shirt Factory in Mahanoy City where she retired.

She was a member of Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish Mahanoy City where she was a member of the church choir.

Katherine is survived by a son, Edward, husband of Patricia Teichman, of Mahanoy City, and by 2 Grandchildren Edward Jr. and Tina, 5 Great Grandchildren Jacob, Josh, Ashley, Skylar, and Karissa, 2 Great Great Grandchildren Mason and Jaxon.

She is preceded in death by a brother William.

Services have been POSTPONED until a later date.

Raymond Knapp, 98, of Tremont, passed away on Monday, October 25, 2021 at Providence Place, Pine Grove.

Born on October 7, 1923 in Rausch Creek, he was a son of the late Ottis and Ida Harris Knapp.

He was a Navy veteran having served during WWII.

Raymond was a Supervisor for the former Alcoa in Cressona.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Tremont and member of the former Tremont American Legion.

Preceding him in death were his first wife, Gloria Wolfe Knapp, a son, Terry Knapp; a daughter, Marsha E. Jones; a granddaughter, Melanie Koch, two sisters, M. Virginia Morgan and Frances Noll; a brothers, Howard Knapp.

Surviving are a son, Raymond P. and wife Maria Knapp of Lindenwold, NJ; three grandchildren, Raymond Knapp of Lindenwold, NJ, Warren Jr. and wife Pam Scheib of Ephrata; Wendy Arbogast of Tremont; nine great grandchildren, eight great great grandchildren, one great great great grandchild; nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 1, at 11:00 A.M., in the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., with SALM John Ziegler officiating. There will be a viewing on Mondy, November 1, from 10:00 until time of service at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc. Interment will follow in the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Tremont.

The family would prefer, in lieu of flowers, Contributions may be made to the St. John's Lutheran Church, 6 W. Main St., Tremont, Pa. 17981, in his memory.

Ginger L. Beach
, 61, of Berwick, formerly of Minersville, passed away unexpectedly on Monday at Berwick Hospital Center.

Born on March 21, 1960 in Pottsville, she was the only child of Elsa Supernavage Schneck, Tremont and the late Kenneth L. Schneck. She was a 1978 graduate of Minersville High School and attended Shippensburg University, where she joined the Army. She enjoyed her job as a nurse’s aide.

She was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church, Stein’s Mill.

Ginger enjoyed spending time with her family playing cards and games and going to Disney.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 36 years, Frederick Beach; five children, Kerry Becker and her husband, Rodney of Palmyra, Kimberly Beach and her partner, Emmanuelle Celicout of Philadelphia, John R. Templeton V of Minersville, Quintan Templeton and his wife, Cathy of Berwick, and Vanessa Beach and her companion Thomas Reynolds of Minersville; ten grandchildren, Katelyn and Eli Becker, Connor, Landon, Addison, Marlee, and Kasen Templeton, Faith, Celest, and Jacob Templeton.

The family will accept visitors at Dutcavich Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6:00 - 9:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services at Friedens Lutheran Church, 54 Church Road, Pottsville, on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. There will be no procession from the funeral home to the church.

Alice Delowery, 89, of Ringtown, passed away Friday, October 29th, 2021.

Alice was born in Philadelphia, on September 23, 1932, the last surviving child of the late Alice E. (Schwager) and William T. Adams.

She worked locally as a waitress, and was last employed and retired from Mrs. T's Pierogi's in Shenandoah.

Prior to his passing in 2011, she and her husband Warren Delowery, Sr., used to enjoy traveling the country in their motor home.

In addition to her husband, brothers and sisters, she was preceded in death by her children, Linda Delowey, Flossie Delowery, Warren Delowery, Jr., and Harold Delowery.

Alice is survived by her daughter, Connie Delowery of Ringtown, and by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Alice will be laid to rest following graveside services at St. John's Memorial Park in Ringtown, on Thursday, November 4th at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the service.

Linda S. Minnich, 73, of Pottsville, died peacefully Wednesday at home.

She was born on November 4, 1947 in Boston, Massachusetts a daughter of the late Wilbur S. and Joy Watson Scheipers.

She was a 1967 graduate of North Forsyth High School, Winston Salem, N.C.

Prior to retiring she was employed as a scheduling clerk for George Washington University Hospital and Lancaster Osteopathic Hospital.

Linda a was member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville.

Surviving are her husband, James R. Minnich with whom she celebrated 52 years of marriage with on September 2; a sister, Diane Teague, Lexington, N.C.; a brother, Eric Scheipers. nieces, nephews, and friends.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11AM from St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions in memory of Linda be made to St. Patrick Memorial Fund, 319 Mahantongo St. Pottsville, PA 17901. Interment will be at later date and private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

Robert E. Wagner Sr.
, 91, of Nescopeck, former Taylorsville resident, passed away October 27, 2021, at the Grandview Nursing Center, Danville. Born in Branch Township, Pa., May 6, 1930, he was the son of the late Homer and Thelma Lucas Wagner. He was a graduate of the former Hegins Township High School, class of 1948. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving as a seaman on the U.S.S. Tanner. Bob was employed as a coal miner for 25 years at area mining operations, leaving to be a Shift Supervisor at the P.P. and L. electric generation station near Berwick, retiring in 1997. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Nescopeck, Ashland Lodge #294 F. and A. M., Ashland, Caldwell Consistory, Bloomsburg, Irem Shrine, Scranton, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Schuylkill Forest #50, Loyal Order of Moose, Danville, Rangers Hose Company, Mifflinville, American Legion Post #273, V.F.W. Post #15040, Wyoming, Getty Lucas Amvets Post, Gordon, D.A.V. Keystone State #16, Rangers Hose Company, Mifflinville, Mainville Sportsman Club, Nescopeck Hunting and Rifle Club, Amateur Trapshooting Association, National Rifle Association, and a life member of the Lavelle Fire Company, Lavelle. Preceding him in death was his wife Joan Dechant Wagner, passing in 2017, and a son, Jeffrey D. Wagner, passing in 2017, also, brothers Lamar and William Wagner.

Francis Joseph Bulcavage
passed from this life on Friday October 8, 2021 at Reston Hospital, Reston, Virginia. He was preceded in death by parents Frank and Connie, sister Carol Ann, infant brother Frederick, brothers-in-law Maurice Hunter and H. Keith Beall, and infant niece Celeste Angela Beall.

Born in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania (PA) on October 31, 1955, he grew up in Mahanoy City, a small town in the coal mining area. He attended St. Joseph’s Parochial Elementary School. He completed 1,080 hours training in Data Processing at Schuylkill County Area Vocational Technical School and graduated from Mahanoy Area High School in 1973. Known as” Joey” in his early PA years, he enjoyed playing pool at the Teen Canteen, intramural basketball, and was a member of the History Club, Pep Club, Student Council and VICA.

Attending American University in Washington, DC, he graduated in May 1979 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science plus Graduate Level studies. While in college he enjoyed chess, math, science, basketball, tennis and hanging out with his friends in Georgetown.

His work experience included extensive technical and executive management roles at the corporate level. His career began with Systems Architects, Inc. (9/73-2/78) in Arlington, VA. Transitioning to Inter Systems, Inc. (ISI) (2/78-7/89), he served as Vice President, Division Director, Project Manager and Senior Systems Architect working on diverse, complex Government and Corporate systems. ISI work included temporarily residing in Huntsville, Alabama. He also performed SIR/DBMS software conversion consulting at SIR (USA), Inc. (9/89-2/90) in Illinois. He completed Boeing Computer Services Company Project Management training in May 1990. His 28+year Federal Government career with Internal Revenue Service in Washington, DC began in February 1990. Now known as “Frank” he most recently was a Unisys Operating Systems Specialist until his retirement in December 2018.

Despite long commutes to work, long hours and out of town work, he enjoyed swimming and often hosted pool parties with friends. He enjoyed cycling the Washington and Old Dominion (W&OD) canal trail through Virginia as well as attending plays and the theater. Frank was a dedicated oenophile, always exploring and experimenting with wines. He loved trying new cuisines and pairing them with different vintages, continuing his gourmet research. Dining out at new and favorite restaurants was a welcome pleasure until the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 impacted in-restaurant dining. Studying the stock market was a favorite hobby.

Residing in Vienna, Virginia for 40+ years, he was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church. Most holiday weekends he headed to the various East Coast beaches (Rehoboth Beach in particular) with his beach group of friends. He enjoyed visiting casinos in various states (Atlantic City, Las Vegas, Hard Rock, etc.) trying his luck. He loved traveling including trips to Nassau, Bahamas, Paris, France, New Orleans, etc. as well as visiting family in Oklahoma, Nevada, Florida, Pennsylvania, etc..

He always enjoyed the Bulcavage weddings in PA, especially in the earlier years, with the large family of relatives (Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins) at that time. Many holidays in the Virginia years were spent with long time friend Louise Hunley and her family. Joey/Frank was a soft-spoken, easy-mannered, generous person, always concerned with his family member’s well-being. He was a very kind and caring man whose memory will live on with each of us. But God called his name so softly that only he could hear. He will be dearly missed by all.

Surviving are sisters Rosemarie Hunter of Tennessee, Theresa Beall of Florida, and Connie Carter and husband Dale of Oklahoma. Also niece Terri Lynn and husband Josh Wright, Anthony, Jacob, Ryan and Levi of Nevada, nephew Edwin Hunter and wife Lexi,, Edwin, Jr., Heather, Katelyn, Hailey and Ethan of Tennessee, nephew Keith Adam Beall and wife Rosa of California, nephew John Carter and wife Tasja and Anna of Oklahoma as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Services are pending and will be held at a later date.

Adams-Green Funeral Home of Herndon, Virginia handled his cremation services on October 14, 2021. At a future date final funeral arrangements will be under the direction of Louis Truskowsky Funeral Home in Mahanoy City, Pennsylvania. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a future date at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church (formerly St. Joseph’s) with interment in the St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Cemetery.
