Shenandoah Valley will recognize their Students of the Month for September and October during Wednesday's School Board Meeting.
September Student of the Month - Angelina Donovan
Community Service
Helping at an early childhood development center, painting the Helipad, setting up the track for track meets, working stands at the town festivals, helping teachers clean out classrooms during summer break, and spending time at the soccer field to help the youth teams.
School Activities
Student Council, track and field, softball, basketball, volleyball, cross country, YES program, Talent Search Program, Mini-Thon committee, and Girl Scouts
Personal Interests
I enjoy reading during my free time and playing sports with my friends. I especially show high interest in track and field and running the 300 hurdle event. Another thing that I personally enjoy is working a summer job to keep me busy and teach me the values of money.
Future Plans
My future plans are to attend college and major in biology in hopes to enter a bio-engineering program. After I graduate I plan to work for a pharmaceutical company and/or study medicine as a biomedical engineer

October Student of the Month - Jacqueline Buchanan
Community Service
I volunteer every Christmas morning to give gifts to each resident of Shenandoah Senior Living Community, I work the annual Alzheimer's golf tournaments, clean the parks and roadways with Healthy Shenandoah, I have worked class stands at Kielbasa Festival, and worked the Coal Run 5K for the past three years.
School Activities
I am involved in Cheerleading, Volleyball, Track, Yearbook, Student Council, and National Honor Society. I am also the student board member for Schuylkill County’s non-profit organization, VISION.
Personal Interests
Playing Volleyball, photography, and painting.
Future Plans
My future plans are to attend college and play volleyball while receiving a degree in Secondary Education
