Peter William Gutsie
, 82, eldest son of Peter and Petrie (Truskowsky) Gutsie was born on April 29th, 1939 and passed away on October 13th, 2021 at Providence Place Senior Living of Pottsville.

Peter graduated from Mahanoy City High school, class of 1956.

He worked in the family business, “Gutsies Pizza” until he graduated high school then he went on the serve his country as a Navy Corpsman from 1956 to 1960. He then worked for Bell Telephone Company of Pennsylvania until 1968.

Peter graduated from Temple University with a degree in accounting and worked 2 years for the State of Pennsylvania in the Tax Office in Harrisburg. Peter then worked in New York City as an IRS agent. After retirement he returned home and was elected Councilmen for his hometown of Mahanoy city. He was then elected Tax Collector for Mahanoy City. Pete never lost an election.

He was a member of the Mahanoy City Social and Athletic Club, UNICO and the American Legion and was a Board Member for the Mahanoy City Sewer Authority and the Mahanoy City Library.

Peter is survived by his brother Anthony and his wife Lisa of Mahanoy City, his nephew Anthony C. (Chris) of Mahanoy City and niece Beth Wife of Bryan Brown of Barnesville, great nephew and niece Blake and Lillian Brown. There has never been a better big brother or a better uncle then Uncle Pete “Unkie” to the kids. Peter was always there for his family, friends and community.

Friends and family may call Tuesday October 19th, from 6 until 8pm at the funeral home.

Connie M. Hillbish, 68, of Pine Grove, passed away Wednesday, October 13th, at her residence.

Born in Pottsville, on October 28, 1952, a daughter of the late Amelia (Walck) and Alfred T. Riegel, Jr.

She was the widow of Harry S. Hillbish.

She attended Schuylkill Haven Schools and retired from Phillips Van Huesen.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her sons Brian and Jeff Hillbish and a grandson Austin Hillbish.

Connie is survived by her daughter Tami Bensinger wife of Kevin, Schuylkill Haven; grandchildren Tyler Bensinger, Allison, Jacob and Nathaniel Hillbish; sisters in law, nieces and nephews.

Services and interment are private at the convenience of family.

Arianne "Ari" Boulanger, 62 years of age of Rush Township, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at home.

Born Tuesday, November 4, 1958 in Syracuse, New York. She was predeceased by; he mother, Mimi (Martini) Delodiza; husband, Raymond Boulanger; sister, Indy Alexander.

Surviving are; father, George Delodzia; sisters, Shauni Swanson, Kyra Munoz. Nieces, nephews, and friends also survive Ari.

A graduate of Prout High School, Ari liked to act, write, and enjoyed photography.

Franklin L. Lane, 83, Lititz, PA, formerly of Ashland, passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Luther Acres, Lititz.

Born in Ashland, PA, March 15, 1938 the son of the late Franklin and Ethel (Tiley) Lane.
He graduated from Ashland High School. He received his Bachelor's Degree at Kutztown University and his Master's Degree at Temple University. He was a School Administrator for Philadelphia Public Schools. He last worked as an educator at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary, Philadelphia.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian (Davis) Lane. One brother, Nick Lane, Ashland.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family in Brock Cemetery, Ashland.

Donna E. Ford, 68, of Shenandoah, passed away Thursday, October 14th, 2021.

She was born in Shenandoah on December 20, 1952, a daughter of the late Ruth (Bright) and Nelson Schuetrum.

Donna last worked in the medical records department of the former Good Samaritan Hospital in Pottsvile. Prior to that, she worked as a clerk for Sears in the former Schuylkill Mall. Donna loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially her grandsons.

She was of the reformed faith and a member of the United Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Barry Ford, Sr., and by a sister, Ruth Wirtz.

She is survived by her children, Barry Ford, Jr. and his wife Jen, of Frackville and Audra, wife of John Kanute, of Ringtown. She is also survived by four brothers and two sisters, Roger Schuetrum, of Ashland; Nelson Schuetrum, of St. Clair; Rick Schuetrum, of Mahanoy City; Scott Schuetrum, of Shenandoah; Darlene Wonderlick, of South Carolina and Candi Hemerick, of Ringtown.

She is also survived by 2 grandsons, Kevin and Conner, along with nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, October 19th at the Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 West Main Street, Ringtown, with Rev. Craig Zimmerman officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to a attend a viewing from 9 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Donna will be laid to rest at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Shenandoah Heights, following the service.

Charles E. Post
, 83, of Shenandoah, passed away on October 13th , 2021.

Born December 25, 1937 (Christmas Baby) in Shenandoah, PA he was the son of the late Henry and Priscilla (Eisenhower) Post.

He retired from Pine Grove homes in 1999. Charles was a U.S. Army Veteran and proud member of the A.P. Damato American Legion Post 792 in Shenandoah. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and belonged to many local clubs over the years. He enjoyed traveling on bus trips, meeting up with friends at Burger King every night and walking the main street of Shenandoah with his buddy Jimmy.

Charles was preceded in death by brothers John, Henry, and Frederick Post.

He is survived by his Niece Laura (Post) Mealia and her husband Patrick Mealia, Nephew Kurt Post and Sister-in-Law Dianna Post, along with attentive Great Nieces and Nephews Mickey, Shea, Bernie, Fred, Bridget, and Cole.

A visitation for family and friends will take place on Saturday, October 23rd, from 8:30 to 10am at the Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc, 40 N. Jardin St, Shenandoah. Scripture services will be conducted at 10am by Pastor Mindy Heppe. Burial with military honors will follow in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.
