Born Thursday, March 26, 1959 in Allentown, Lehigh County, he was the son of the late John J. and Jean (McKracken) Whitney.
Christopher last worked for JDM Materials of Philadelphia and was a member of Teamsters Local 158. He was a homebody and spent his time on the computer and playing computer games.
Surviving are sons, Anthony Whitney and his wife, Tiffany of Lehighton, PA, Christopher Whitney and his fiancée, Melissa of Neelyton, PA, Robert James Whitney, Todd Andrew Keeler and Timothy Michael Keeler; grandson, Lucas; brothers , Brian, Patrick and John Whitney; sisters, Jeanne Gessner, Cheryl Jacoby and Coleen Hellwig.

Florence R. Yeager, 89 of Pottsville, died Wednesday Oct 6, 2021 at Luther Ridge Assisted Living, Pottsville, where she was a resident for 5 1/2 years
She was born April 16, 1932 in Pottsville a daughter of the late Michael and Irene Smith Charkaway.
She attended Pottsville High School.
Prior to retiring, she worked an Phillip Van Heusen Textile.
Florence was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville and the church's Catholic Women's Union.
She was preceded in death by her husband John O. Yeager on Oct 11, 2006; 3 sisters, Dolores Paulin, Roseanna Charkaway, and Mary Cuchara;
Surviving are her a daughter, Mary Jane MacLaughlin and her husband W. Geoffrey, Jr., Schuylkill Haven; 2 sons, John D. Yeager, Pottsville; Jerome M. Yeager and his wife Pam, Blandon; 4 grandchildren, Lauren MacLaughlin Galligani, and her husband Alberto, Pastoia, Italy; Jeffery Yeager, Orwigsburg; Kristen Freed, Schuylkill Haven; Devon Yeager, Sinking Spring; 1 great-granddaughter Luna Mary Galligani, Pastoia, Italy; a sister, Betty Auman, Reading; Nieces and Nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Luther Ridge Assisted Living, especially Elise, for the care given to Florence the past 5 1/2 years, and also to Advantage Home Health and Hospice for their care and comfort during Florence's final weeks.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday Oct 20th at 10:30AM from St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville, with Rev. Kevin J. Bobbin as celebrant. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 5-7PM Tuesday Oct 19th and for 9-10AM Wednesday, Oct 20th at James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions in memory of Florence be mad to St. John Memorial Fund, 913 Mahantongo St., Pottsville, PA 17901 or Advantage Home Health & Hospice 1502 Route 61 South, Pottsville, PA 17901. Interment will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
