Three people were injured in a two vehicle crash in Porter Township on Thursday afternoon.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, the crash occurred around 5:45pm on Thursday on Route 209 just west of Tower Street.
Troopers say the crash occurred as Randall Russelavage, 62, of Tower City in a Toyota Avalon was traveling north on Route 209 while Brad Miller, 31, of Lancaster in a Peterbilt tractor trailer was traveling south.
At the time of the crash, Russelavage was reported to have veered into oncoming lane and struck Miller head-on.
Russelavage and his passenger, Dawn Russelavage, 70, sustained serious injuries and were transported to Geisinger via Lifeflight while Miller was transported via Hegins Area Ambulance to Lehigh Valley Hospital in Pottsville with unknown injuries.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
Assisting State Police at the scene were the Joliet Fire Department, Muir Fire Department, Tower City Fire Department, Donaldson Fire Department, Hegins Fire Department, Tremont Fire Department, Schuylkill EMS, Hegins Area Ambulance, Whelski's Towing, and Motter's Towing.
