The Williams Valley School District closed Wednesday due to a threat that was found on social media.
Just after 7:30am, Wednesday, the school district announced they would be cancelling classes for the day and any students that were already picked up would be dismissed at 8:30am.
A short time later, they announced parents that the Pennsylvania State Police were called and investigating a "Situation".

The district became aware of a social media post this morning during high school arrivals. Due to the nature of the post and out of an abundance of caution, the district closed for the day so the Pennsylvania State Police could investigate. The search of the school was negative and it does not appear that this was an actual threat directed at the school.
