On Thursday, a small ceremony was held in Ashland to recognize Veterans Day.
The Ashland VFW and American Legion met at 5th and Centre Streets where they marked to the Veterans Memorial at Centre and Hoffman Boulevard.
Commanders from both organizations both spoke as well as Mayor Walacavage.
The ceremony was closed with a gun salute and the playing of taps.
The American Legion hosted a luncheon following the ceremony.
