A house in Mount Carmel was destroyed by a fire late Friday.
Around 10:15pm, Friday, emergency personnel were called to the area of East 2nd Street and North Walnut Street in Mount Carmel for a house fire.
As fire personnel arrived they found flames comes from the 1st and 2nd floors of the home at 338 East Second.
Firefighters had a bulk of the fire under control within a half hour but the home was severely damaged.
Two people were reported to be home at the time of the fire but everyone escaped uninjured.
No word on what caused the fire but it was reported to be accidental.
