The Schuylkill Technology South in Marlin will be closed Thursday after an incident involving a fire on Wednesday.
Around 1:00pm, on Wednesday, emergency personnel were called to the school after it began filling with smoke. The problem was found to be a fire in an air filtration unit that burned throwing smoke into the building. All students and staff evacuated and there were no reported injuries.

According to the school, the STC South Campus will be closed tomorrow, November 11th due to smoke damage in the building.
This will be an excused absence for all STC South Students. Only the South Campus will be closed to allow for proper ventilation.
Anyone who left personal items in the building will be allowed to pick up those items on Thursday between 2:00pm and 6:00pm at the South campus.
Classes at the STC South Campus are expected to resume Friday, November 12th.
