The Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a hit and run that occurred in West Penn Township, Schuylkill County, on Sunday morning.
According to Troopers, around 9:20am, on Sunday, November 28th, 2021, a hunter in the woods contact the State Police and reported hearing what sounded like a violent crash somewhere along Route 309 near the top of the Blue Mountain.
When emergency personnel arrived in the area, they found that a vehicle has damaged approximately 200 feet of guide rail along the right berm of Route 309 northbound. The vehicle and driver involved fled in an unknown direction.
