After months of waiting, due to COVID-19, the North Schuylkill Girl's Track and Field Team was presented with championship rings for their PIAA State Championship.
On Thursday evening, the North Schuylkill Track and Field Booster Club held a Ring Ceremony at the Good Will Fire Company in Frackville with the girl's team and their parents to celebrate their 2021 AA State Championship.
In attendance were the State Medalists, Bryonna Bolich, Cori McCormick, Katie McCormick, Megan Osilka, Kailey Roberts, Ryley Schwalm, and Sarah Wagner.
Each of the girls receive a championship ring, engraved with their name and a Spartan insignia.
The team was lead by Head Coach Kevin Keating, and assistants Jordan Bridy, Tony Chatkiewicz, Brooke Ennis, CoryMentzer, Michael Russell, and Bob Moyer.
North Schuylkill Athletic Director Jim Gross was also in attendance along with Booster Club members Michelle Brestowski, Tammi Norwich, and Liz Roberts.
"Being able to remember the State Championship will only be a stepping stone compared to what you [the team] will accomplish in your lives" Coach Keating said.
The team will also be recognized on Tuesday, January 4th, 2021 between the Junior Varsity and Varsity Girls Basketball games.
