Richard B. Brossman, 94, of Orwigsburg, passed away Sunday, December 12th, at Seton Manor Inc.

Richard was born in Auburn, PA on October 25, 1927, a son of the late Mantania (Fryer) and George Solomon Brossman.

He was the husband of Jean (Webber) Brossman. They were married February 17th, 1950.

He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ Orwigsburg and served in the U.S. Army as a Corporal during WWII.

He worked as a Head Knitter for 45 years at Fessler Knitting Mill Orwigsburg.

Richard enjoyed spending time in his workshop, garage and took great pride in his home and yard. He was a member of the Odd Fellows, local #802, and a past Noble Grand of his chapter and a member of the local VFW. He served as Zoning Commissioner for Orwigsburg Borough for many years. He also had the privilege of being Grand Marshall in one of Orwigsburg’s Memorial Day Parades.
In addition to Jean, his wife of 71 years, Richard is survived by his daughter, Pamela Steele, widow of James Steele, and his son, Eric Brossman, husband of Jody.

He is also survived by his grandchildren Cale Steele, Kevin Steele, Christopher Brossman, Caitlin Brossman, Sean Brossman, Step Grandson Brandon Edelman and Great Grandson Toby Steele. Also surviving are nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by siblings George Brossman and Dorothy (Brossman) Fisher.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday Evening, December 21st at St. John's United Church of Christ in Orwigsburg, with Rev. Jeff Johnson officiating. Memorial gathering will begin at 6:00 PM

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ 236 East Market Street Orwigsburg, PA 17961.

Dianne M. Deeble
, age 82, of Mahanoy City, died Tuesday afternoon at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Hazleton. She was born in Windsor New York and was a 1957 graduate of Susquehanna High School. 

She was an active and faithful member of the Frist United Methodist Church in Mahanoy City. She had been employed by and retired from City Shirt Factory. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Donald in 1986. 

Survivors include her daughter Chris Klepsch of Mahanoy City with whom she resided and a son Guy W. Deeble of Bradenton Florida. 

Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral on Saturday morning at 11 AM from David D. Jarrett Funeral Home of Mahanoy City. The Rev. Bridget Wagner will officiate. 

Interment will follow in the German Protestant Cemetery in Mahanoy Township.

Rachel Shaylyn Miller
, 19 of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania died unexpectedly on Saturday, December 4, 2021, in Northumberland, Pennsylvania.

Born Tuesday, May 21, 2002 in Allentown, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Deborah A. (Nahf) Miller and the late Trevor S. Miller.

Rachel was predeceased by her paternal grandfather Chet Miller and maternal grandmother, Wendy Nahf; step sister,Jamie Napolitano.

Rachel is survived by her mother, Deborah Nahf; step mother, Jeanette Major; daughter , Lola Ann Miller; brother, Connor Miller and his fiancee Stephanie; nephew Ace Miller; boyfriend Cody Felts; maternal grandfather David Nahf; uncles Spencer, husband of Beth; Corey, husband of Kim and Timothy Miller; step brother, William Hartranft.

Rachel had many cousins, friends and family that loved and adored her. She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. She will be deeply missed by many.

James A. “Diamond Jim” Templin, 81 formerly of Port Carbon passed away Tuesday while a resident of Schuylkill Center in Pottsville.

Born in Pottsville on October 27, 1940, he was the son of the late Arthur and Jennie Spotts Templin.

Jim was a graduate of Pottsville Area High School. He then went on to serve in the United States Air Force.

Jim worked construction for many years and was also the owner of Diamond Jim’s Bar in Shoentown.

In addition to his wife he is preceded in death by his wife Jean Templin along with his siblings, Margarette, Bertha, Robert, Charles, and Donald.

Jim is survived by his niece Carol Haslam and his step-children, Mary Ann Camarda, Rita Nein, and Andrew Sekelic.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday at Grabowski Funeral Home, Schuylkill Haven. Interment will be on the grounds of Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. Memories and condolences can be shared at www.grabowskifuneralhome.com

Sylvia Marie Kostura
, 81, of Minersville. Passed away Monday, December 13, at her home. 

Sylvia was born January 28, 1940 in Pottsville, a daughter of the late Peter & Dorothy (Griffin) Setlock. She was the widow of the late John Kostura Jr., who died August 11, 2021. She was a loving, devoted wife, Mother, Gradnmother and Great Grandmother who enjoyed taking care of her family. She was once employed as a Presser at the former Frans Lingerie. Sylvia loved being a homemaker and enjoyed watching game shows and classic movies. 

In addition to her parents andher her husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Jerome, Peter, Paul, Russell and Dennis Setlock. As well as three sisters, Severene Prock, Sheila Moser and Sandra Wagner. She is survived by a daughter, Tina. M. Kostura, a son, John III, husband of Simone Kostura. Three brothers, Patrick Setlock, Dal, husband of Karen Setlock, and Donald, husband of Donna Setlock. Two sisters, Sharon, wife of Dave Reeves, and Shirley Kulikosky. Syliva is also survived by a granddaughter, Shardae and great grandchildren, Zoey and Cooper. 

All services are private. Interment in Columbarium Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

Gladys C. Pellish -Yonalis
, 90, passed away peacefully in the early hours of Friday December 10th at Markley Rehabilitation & Health Center, Norristown. She was six days shy of her 91st birthday. 

Born and raised in Schuylkill Haven she was the daughter of William and Catherine (nee. McCord) McGlone. She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands William Pellish in 1993 and Albert Yonalis in 2012, three brothers Francis, Vincent, and William. She was a member of the former St. Vincent De Paul Church , Minersville. Gladys was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She loved and spoke highly of her sons-in-law; “Cathy’s Joe” and “Nancy’s Joe” as she referred to them. She was a homemaker and loved to cook and bake. She especially loved to prepare for family get togethers. Family favorites were her apple pie, chocolate chip cookies, chicken pot pie, halupkie and city chicken to name a few. Gladys taught her daughters to be independent and kind but to stick together. 

Gladys is survived by her daughters Catherine Fabrizio and her husband Joseph of the Philadelphia area, Nancy Sborz and her husband Joseph of Berwick. Grandchildren Antoinette Fabrizio-Barrett of Philadelphia, Dominick Fabrizio of Boston, Aaron Sborz of Shillington and Nicholas Sborz of Virginia, and nine Great Grandchildren Kathryn Barrett, Leo and Parker Fabrizio, Griffin, Eden, and Lillian Sborz, and Payton, Wyatt and Hunter Sborz. 

All services shall be private. Interment Mount Peace Cemetery. Mahal-Ritzel Funeral home Inc., Minersville entrusted with the arrangements.
