Calvin L. Follmer, 83, of Owl Creek, Tamaqua, PA died on Thursday, December 23, 2021, in Bethlehem, PA. He was the husband of Carol Mae (Hess) Follmer who died on November 4, 2009.Born on June 4, 1938, in Benton, PA, Calvin was a son of the late Freas and Ella Mae (McHenry) Follmer. A graduate of Benton High School, he earned an Associate Degree in Accounting from Wilkes College. Calvin was the owner/operator of the former Ruth Manufacturing in Nesquehoning, PA. Prior to that he was employed in management with Elbeco. His last position with them was as plant manager of City Shirt, Frackville, PA where he oversaw more than 400 employees. Calvin was a member of Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church, Tamaqua where he formerly had served as the church treasurer. An avid baseball player and fan, he also enjoyed soccer and wrestling in high school. He enjoyed hunting and fishing when time allowed. Calvin was a devoted family man who was ever present for family.
He is survived by sons, Richard L. Follmer and his wife Laura of Myrtle Beach, SC and Randall W. Follmer and his wife Susan of Tamaqua; daughter, Ruth Puckette-Krause of Owl Creek; grandchildren, Richard Follmer, Jr. and his wife Heather, Donald R. Follmer, Matthew R. Follmer, Stephanie Pastewait and her husband William, Ryan Puckette, and Robert S. Krause and his wife Cassandra; great grandchildren, Travis Follmer, Samantha Follmer, Dalton Follmer, Hailey Follmer, Hannah Follmer, Stacia Pastewait, Rowan Pastewait, Cameron Krause, and Lucas Krause; sister, Sallie Boone; sisters-in-law, Margaret Follmer and Sandra Hess; and numerous nephews and nieces. Calvin was predeceased by a brother, Samuel Follmer.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, December 31, 2021, in Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church, 223 East Broad Street, Tamaqua with The Rev. Kevin Roberts officiating.
Interment in Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown, PA will follow the service. Call 9:30-10:30 AM Friday in the church. Memorials in Calvin’s name may be made to Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church, c/o The Rev. Kevin Roberts, 430 East Broad Street, Tamaqua, PA 18252. COVID-19 protocols will be followed.

Joyce was born in New Ringgold, on June 26, 1935, a daughter of the late Naomi Pearl (Shoener) and Edward Shiffert.
She was the widow of Charles Alfred Beneck who passed away in 2020.
Joyce was a graduate of Orwigsburg High School class of 1953.
She enjoyed traveling, painting, scrapbooking & playing cards with her card club girls. She also loved shopping & going to yard sales with friends.
Joyce is survived by her daughter Lori Lego, wife of Joseph, Mechanicsburg; Granddaughters Amber Callahan and Chiara Caparella; brother Edward L Shiffert, husband of Darlene “Lemon”.
Joyce was predeceased by her son Charles E Beneck, brother Donald Shiffert and sister Joan Brady.
A Religious Service will be held at Noon on Tuesday, December 28th at Hamilton-Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. in Orwigsburg., with Rev. Michael Petresky officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00AM until time of service at noon. Guests are asked to follow CDC guidelines to limit the spread of Covid-19.

Randall E. Kimmel, Sr, age 74, of Hegins, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2021 at his residence. Randy loved life and all the things he had done; he had no regrets for his life.
He was born on Thursday, January 16, 1947, in Pottsville, a son of the late Edward C Kimmel and the late Ruth N (Klinger) Kimmel.
He was a 1964 graduate of Tri-Valley High School.
Randy was a Sgt in the US Army serving in the 1st Battalion 4th Armored Division during the Vietnam War.
He was a truck driver for L.S. Geist Trucking and retired from Wheels Coal Company. "Special K" compiled over 10 million miles in his career.
Randy was a.life member of VFW Post 8237 and American Legion Post 575 both of Valley View, and FandAM Lodge 255 Shamokin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and by a grandson Kevin Hostetter.
He is survived by his wife Penny L (Ernfield) Kimmel, to whom he was married for 5 years.
He is also survived by three sons, Randall "Boomer" E Kimmel, Jr and his wife Tara of Valley View, William E Kimmel and his wife Amanda of Klingerstown, and Jason L Mace and his wife Shavon of Valley View; two daughters, Mildred Wenzler and her companion Darren of Denver and Angela L Moore of Kansas City, MO; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; a brother, Clair Kimmel of Milwaukee, WI; a sister, Judy Kimmel of Spring Glen; and several nieces and nephews.
Private internment and Military Honors will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, is in charge of arrangements.
