Born March 4, 1956 in Pottsville, she was the deaughter of the late Leonard Menchefsky, Sr. and the late Elizabeth Komanitsky Menchefsky.
She was a 1975 graduate of Nativity BVM High School and was employed by the former Pottsville Hospital in the dietary department. She was also a member of St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic.
In addition to her parents, MaryAnne was preceded in death by brothers Gerard and Leonard, Jr.
MaryAnne is survived by a sister Bettie Katz, GA; nieces Dawn and Hailie Katz, GA; nephew Brian Katz, NC; along with several cousins in both PA and NJ.
Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated Wednesday, January 5 at 10 o’clock at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church Pottsville. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 9o’clock until the time of Mass. Interment will be held on the grounds of Schuylkill Memorial Park Schuylkill Haven.

Florence L. Embrey, 84, of Mifflin St., Lebanon, passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 in the Hershey Medical Center.
Born on May 5, 1937 in Pine Grove Twp., she was a daughter of the late Charles and Irene Unger Strubhar.
She was a 1955 graduate of Northern Lebanon High School and had been a member at Outwood Lutheran Church, Pine Grove.
Florence worked in the fabric department at WalMart in Lebanon.
She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Mt. Zion Fire Co.
Preceding her in death were her husband Robert L. Embrey, and four brothers, Richard, Paul, Mark "Whitey" Sr., and George Strubhar.
Surviving are a son, John Embrey and fiancé Elizabeth Hutton of Elizabethtown; a daughter, Julia and husband Richard Wagner of Aurora, CO; a granddaughter Victoria Wagner; a brother Robert and wife Suzanne Strubhar of Fredericksburg; a sister, Eva Hemmer of Fredericksburg; nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 3, 2022, 11:00 A.M. at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove, with Pastor Terry Jansma officiating. There will be a viewing on Monday, January 3, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Suedberg Church of God Cemetery, Pine Grove.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association, 3544 N. Progress Ave. Suite 101 Harrisburg, PA 17110 in her memory.

Joseph A. Ozor , 74, of Frackville, passed away Monday, December 27, 2021 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest, Allentown.
Born in Shenandoah Heights, September 16, 1947, He was a son of the late Joseph and Ann Marie (Petruska) Ozor.
He was a 1966 graduate from Mahanoy Area High School.
Joseph served honorably in the US Navy during Vietnam.
He retired as a Fork Lift Operator for The Coca-Cola Company, Philadelphia, PA.
He was preceded in death by a sister Ann Marie Thomas.
Surviving are 2 sons Shawn David Ozor, Springfield, CT and Jospeh Ozor, Fairless Hill, PA.
Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held Thursday, January 6, 2022 at 11:00 AM from Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, PO Box 862, Carnegie, PA 15106.

Born on May 26,1947 in Pottsville, he was the son of the late John and Olga Gontarchick Samilo. He was a 1964 graduate of Nativity B.V.M. High School, and was an Army Reserve veteran.
An accomplished carpenter, he was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners. He worked with several regional contractors, including Schneider and Davis, Inc., Pottsville. He retired as a foreman from Bognet, Inc., General Contractor, Hazle Township, after over 30 years of service. He was proud of having built his home on Teaberry Hill. His coal mine bar is one of a kind and became the place for friends and family to gather for holidays and Super Bowl parties for the past several decades. He especially enjoyed singing Ukrainian Christmas carols while at the bar with his cousins Bob, Randy, and their families.
Ron was a dedicated husband and father, always putting his family first in everything he did. His favorite pastime was visiting with his three grandchildren. He was so proud to be their Gigi. He rarely missed a soccer match, field hockey game, or dance recital.
He was a member of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, Minersville and was active as a tenor in the St. Nicholas Choir, where he met his wife in 1964. He faithfully rang the church bells every Sunday morning with joy in his heart as his father had done years before him.
He was a life member of both South Cass Fire Company and Good Will Fire Company #1, Minersville.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Jacqueline Starbuck, on December 29, 2017 and his brother-in-law Duane Starbuck in 2019.
Ron is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, the former Gloria Jean Meyers; his daughter, Christine “Chrissy” Ashton, her husband, Dr. Michael Ashton, and three grandchildren, John, Madeline and Andrew Ashton, Sugarloaf, PA; a niece, Michelle Walters, nephew, Eric Starbuck, and two great nieces, all in Denver, CO.
The family will accept visitors at Dutcavich Funeral Home, 200 Sunbury Street, Minersville, on Sunday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. with Parastas at 7:00 P.M. and on Monday from 6:00 A.M. Visitation will end promptly at 10:15 A.M. for Panachida. Requiem Divine Liturgy will be at 11:00 A.M. in St. Nicholas Church, 415 Front Street, Minersville. Interment will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery, Branch Township. The family prefers donations to St. Nicholas Cemetery Fund.

Joan M. Selinko, 95 of Pottsville, died Tuesday at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born August 21, 1926 in Pottsville a daughter of the late James and Anna Canfield King.
She was a graduate of Pottsville High School.
She was employed by Juliette Bridal, Pottsville, prior to retiring.
Joan was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, the former Mary Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church, Good Will Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, all of Pottsville.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph W. Selinko, on Feb 17, 2008; 2 brothers, James and Bernard King; 3 sisters, Lorraine Kolessar, Anna "Nancy" King, Margaret Steele; a daughter in law, Georgia Ann Selinko; and son in law, Charles Shaud;
Surviving are her son, Joseph T. Selinko, Pottsville; a daughter, Joan Shaud, St. Clair; grandchildren, Joseph Michael Selinko and his wife Martha, Christine Selinko and her husband Michael Troy, Butch Selinko, Collen Selinko, Wendy Jones and her husband Eric, and Gretchen Shaud; great-grandchildren, Devin, Stevin and Meadow Selinko; great-great grandchild, Gunner Selinko.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 11AM from St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 9:30-10:30AM at James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions in memory of Joan be made to Good Will Hose Co. 114 Nichols St. Pottsville, PA 17901. Interment will be at Queen of the Universe Cemetery, Pottsville.

Christine L. Oxner, 50, of Andreas, passed away suddenly in her home. Born in Coaldale, she was the daughter of Robert Rinker of Quakake and Beatrice (Kotchmar) Rinker and her companion, Blair Krause of Andreas. She was employed at various local businesses and previously as a nurse. Christine enjoyed painting pictures and all types of abstract art.
She was preceded in death by a son, Cassidy R. Startzel. Surviving in addition to her parents are two sisters, Cheryl, wife of John Hill and Charlene Thomson, both of Tamaqua; nieces and nephews.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by the Hartman Funeral Home, 1791 West Penn Pike, Rte. 309, New Ringgold.
