Frank C. Schaeffer, 75, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Thursday, December 9th, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Schuylkill, E. Norwegian St., Pottsville.Born in Pottsville on December 9, 1946, he was a son of the late Glenn & Mima (Krater) Schaeffer.
He was the widower of Jean A. (Luckenbill) Schaeffer, who preceded him in death February 11, 2015.
Frank was a graduate of Blue Mountain High School.
He had been employed by Argo Mills as shipping supervisor.
Frank volunteered with the Schuylkill Haven Fire Police.
He is survived by a daughter, Judith, wife of Joe Kocher, & a son, Todd, husband of Sarah Schaeffer, all of Schuylkill Haven; gradchildren: Joey & Jaiden Kocher, Jeremy & Brayden Schaeffer, Gavin Hoffman, & Dustin Jones, and great-grandchildren: Emmalynn, & Scarlett Jones. Frank is also survived by two sisters, Mary Ann, wife of Dave Fincher, of Hershey; & Cindy, wife of Mark Pielacha, of Pottsville, two brothers, Harry Montgomery, companion of Louann Correll, of Schuylkill Haven; & Tim, husband of Gloria Montgomery, of Auburn; sisters-in-law, Louann Hall & husband, Tom, Vermont, & Linda Coover & husband, Dave, Shippensburg, and a brother-in-law, William Luckenbill, Jr. & wife, Tina, Schuylkill Haven, and nieces & nephews.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be conducted at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc., Schuylkill Haven, on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m.
A viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
Interment will be private.

Born in Shaft, Lower William Penn on April 25, 1922 he was a son of the late Matthew and Rose (Madonis) Bubnis.
He was a decorated World War II Army Veteran. He received the American Theater Service Ribbon, the Good Conduct Medal and the World War II Victory Medal.
Prior to his retirement, he was the owner of Phil’s Rendezvous CafĂ©, Mahanoy City. Earlier he was a supervisor at the former Litton Industries, a large defense contractor in Long Island, New York.
He was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, Shenandoah and the former St. George’s Church. Phil was also a member of the Mahanoy City American Legion Post 74.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were his wife, the former Marie Rosetti in 1969 and three sisters, Anna, Fran and Leona and four brothers, Joseph, William, John and Leonard.
Surviving are his son, Albert E. Bubnis, Jr. and his wife Mary of Wingdale, New York; one grandson, Matthew Bubnis and his wife Samantha of Dover Plains, New York; one great-grandson, Dominic Bubnis; his niece, Rose Marie Barton and her husband Mike of Minersville; additional nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends survive.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 10, 2021 at 9:00 am in Divine Mercy Church, 232 West Cherry Street, Shenandoah with Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor as the celebrant. Military honors will follow the Mass at the church. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, New Rochelle, New York will be held at the convenience of the family. A viewing will be held on Friday morning from 8:00 am until 9:00 am in Divine Mercy Church.

Walter T. “Sonny” Sadusky, 81, of Shenandoah, passed away on Tuesday, December 7th, at the Lehigh Valley Hospital – Schuylkill East, Pottsville.
Born in Shenandoah on August 24th, 1940, he was the son of the late Walter and Helen (Dowling) Sadusky.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Throughout his life, Sonny worked several jobs which included a coal truck driver, working for Purolator Products, and a road/highway inspector. He enjoyed going fishing, throwing darts, picking mushrooms, and was an avid Penn State fan.
Besides his parents, Sonny was preceded by a son, Ronald Sadusky, a brother, Gerald Sadusky, and a sister, Helen McBride.
He leaves behind a son, Robert Sadusky with Pat Roeder – Shenandoah, a brother, Roger Sadusky with Peg – Weston Place, and a sister Joann Romanusky.
A visitation for family and friends will take place on Monday, December 13th from 8:30 to 10:30am at the Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc, 40 N. Jardin St, Shenandoah. Scripture services will be held at 10:30am in the funeral home by Deacon Jack Quirk. Burial will immediately follow in the Holy Ghost Polish National Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.

Sierra Marie Tomes (Cece), 21, of Market St., Ashland, passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Born in Pottsville, September 15, 2000, she is the daughter of Sheila Case of Ashland, and Brian Tomes, of Coaldale. She was a graduate of the North Schuylkill High School, Fountain Springs, class of 2019, where she was a member of the color guard and a member of the TRIO Upward Bound Program. Sierra earned a certification as a C.N.A. from the Schuylkill County Vocational Technical School, Frackville. She was employed as a home health aide and caregiver with Tru Care Home Health. Preceding her in death was a Step Grandmother, Anne Schaffer, Paternal Grand Parents, Joseph and Donna Storey and a Great Grandfather Edward Fotta, Great Grandmother Hilda Case.
