Service Electric Cablevision Inc in Hazleton will be doing emergency maintenance Tuesday December 14th beginning at midnight that will affect all services – television, internet and SECV telephone service for the following areas: Shenandoah, Shenandoah Heights, Pattersonville, Lost Creek, Ringtown.
This work is being done Tuesday Dec 14th at 12:01am and will last until Tuesday morning at 6am.
Due to trees falling on power lines a few weeks ago, their fiber was severely damaged, melted and burned and needs to be repaired as soon as possible.
Customers will not have these services until repairs are made. As each sheath of fiber gets spiced those areas will begin to have services returned to them.
Internet modems may need to be rebooted and telephone MTAs may need to be unplugged and batteries removed to reboot those.
Service Electric anticipates this taking until approximately 6:00am to be completed. If any services do not return by 8:30am – customers can contact their office at 800-242-3707 for more information.
