On Monday evening, the Williams Valley School District hired a new Superintendent.
With an unanimous vote, the school board voted to hire John Rizzo as the new superintendent. Rizzo will replace current Superintendent Diane Best.
Rizzo, a native of Frackville, is a 2000 graduate of North Schuylkill, who graduated with a Bachelors Degree from Lebanon Valley College and a Masters is Education Leadership from Alvernia University.
He has spent the last 7 years as the Elementary Principal at North Lebanon School District.
Rizzo's tenure is pending his release from Northern Lebanon.
