On Wednesday evening, Yuengling called out Bud Light on social media for ripping off a slogan they use for their Flight brand.
This story begins in February 2020 when Yuengling launched Flight. When Flight was launched, they called it "the Next Generation of Light Beer".
Fast forward to yesterday, December 14th, 2021, Bud Light, owned by Anheuser-Busch, announced a new campaign. The campaign did not reveal much but stated "Coming February 2022, experience the next generation of beer". Whatever Bud Light has planned, it's coming on February 7th, 2022.
The slogans are pretty close . . .
Yuengling decided on Wednesday evening to respond to the similarities in the slogans. As of late Wednesday, Bud Light has not responded.
