The Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville have identified the victim in a fatal crash in Rush Township on Friday night.
According to Troopers, the crash occurred just after 11:30pm on Lafeyette Avene (Route 54) just west of Ye Old Hauto Road.
Police say Anthony Arnoldi, 52, of Nesquehoning was traveling east on Route 54 when he failed to negotiate a left curve, went off the right side of the road, and struck a ditch. The Cadillac Eldorado he was driving continued another 50 feet before striking a tree head on.
Arnoldi sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by Schuylkill County Deputy Coroner Andrew Szczyglak at 12:35am.
