A woman was injured earlier this week after snow and ice from a tractor trailer struck her vehicle in Berks County.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Hamburg this incident occurred around 12:45pm, on Tuesday, January 18th, 2022 on Interstate 78 eastbound near mile marker 32.
Troopers say a tractor trailer was traveling westbound on the Interstate when ice and snow flew from the top of the trailer, and blew into the eastbound lanes, striking the windshield of a Ford Fusion being driven by Sherri Doty, 41, of Garnerville, NY.
Doty sustained minor injuries that included abrasions to her face and hands and was treated at the scene by Hamburg EMS. A passenger was also evaluated but was not injured.
The vehicle was unable to be driven due to the damage.
The tractor trailer never stopped and continued west with no identifiable information was provided.
