Nancy L. Rauenzahn, 82, of Orwigsburg, passed away Wednesday, February 9th, at Orwigsburg Center.
Born in Friedensburg, on January 18, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Arthur & Maude (Boughter) Knoll.
She was the widow of Richard D. Rauenzahn.
She was a graduate of Blue Mountain High School, class of 1957. She retired from Argo Mills in 1992.
In addition to her husband, she is also preceded in death by her sisters: Raydelle Gerber and Dorothy Flanagan, and a brother, Elmer Schnoke.
Nancy is survived by her children Brian Rauenzahn husband of Lori (Hartman), Kevin Rauenzahn and Audra Krepps wife of Charles, all of Schuylkill Haven; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, February 15th at Geschwindt Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc. in Schuylkill Haven, with Pastor Kevin Fruchtl officiating.
A viewing for family and friends will be held 9:30 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Interment will be held at St. John's Reformed Church of Christ Cemetery, Friedensburg.

Bernadette E. Melnic (Bernie), 93, of Orwigsburg passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Geisinger St. Luke’s Hospital in Orwigsburg.
Born in Shenandoah, March 27, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Stella (Wasilewski) Andrukonis. She was preceded in death by her brother, Leonard.
Bernie retired as co-owner of Melnic’s CafĂ© in St. Clair. She was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven. She was an avid Penn State football fan, attending 25 bowl games with her husband.
Surviving are her husband of 69 years, Mike; son Michael Melnic and his wife, Cindy of Allentown. Grandson Dr. Christopher Melnic of Boston, MA and his fiancee, Dr. Diana Kolettis; Grandson Dr. Steven Melnic and his wife Nicole, great-grandchildren Jamie and Daniel Melnic, Orefield, PA. Sister- in- law, Mary Ella Andrukonis, Arlington, VA, nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, February 12, 2022 at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, 201 Randel Street, Schuylkill Haven. The Rev. Msgr. Edward S. Zemanik will be officiating. Friends may call from 9:30 AM – 10:15 AM at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 3544 N. Progress Ave., Harrisburg, PA 17110.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.

Robert S. Griffiths, 35, of 507 Laurel Terrace, Pottsville, passed away Monday February 7, 2022 at his home.
Born in Pottsville, February 14, 1986, He was a son of the late William and Carol (Patrick) Griffiths.
Surviving are his brother William Griffiths of Branchdale, Step-father Christopher Leach of Frackville, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
A memorial Service for Rob will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday February 15 20022, from the Nice-Hart Funeral Home, 9 North Leigh Avenue, Frackville, PA 17931. The Rev. Brian Beissel will be officiating. . Friends may call Tuesday from 10:00AM – 11:00AM at the funeral home. Roger L. "Buster" Carl, 84, of Muir, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at the Hershey Medical Center.
Born in Reinerton, August 22, 1937, a son of the late Walter and Katie Kehler Carl. He was a 1955 graduate of Porter High School.
He was retired from the former AMP, Inc.
Roger was a very active member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Muir, where he served as president of the board, a trustee, janitor, superintendent of the Sunday schools, liturgist and there to lend a hand whenever needed. He was a member of the Muir Fire Company and the Williamstown American Legion.
He could often be found out in his yard, tinkering in the garage or being a handyman on any and all projects around his home and church. His greatest joys were time spent with his family, he was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren.
Roger was the youngest of ten children and was preceded in death by brothers; William, John, Allen and an infant brother, sisters; June Klinger, Rachel Rissinger and Ruth Oxenrider.
Surviving are his wife Carol J. Kline Carl to whom he would have celebrated 63 years of marriage on February 21st. His three children, Roger N. Carl (Stephanie), Melissa G. Ulsh and Ken A. Carl (Kim) all of Muir. Six grandchildren; Jonathan Carl (Tomoko), Victoria Miller (Justin), Katherine Brosius (Pierce), Jessica Moyer (Michael), Shawn Underkoffler and Mitchel Carl (Amanda). Eight great grandchildren, two sisters; Merle Lebo, Harrisburg and Janice Harner, Maryland. Nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 11:00 am from the Grace United Methodist Church, Muir. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Viewing will be from 9-11 at the church.
Memorial donations can be made in his memory to Grace U.M. Church, 101 E. Wiconisco Street, Muir PA 17957.

Betty J. Zernhelt, 68, of Tremont, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, February 7, 2022 at St. Luke's Hospital, Orwigsburg.
Born in Donaldson, January 4, 1954, a daughter of the late Guy and Doris Hepler Barry. Betty was a 1972 graduate of Pine Grove Area High School. She enjoyed spending time and planning the reunions with her classmates through the years.
She retired in 2019 from the Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center, where she worked as a dietician aide.
She was also a former teacher's aide with the Tremont Elementary School.
Betty was a member of the former United Church of Christ, Donaldson.
She will be remembered as a wonderful and devoted wife, mom and mammy. Her family was absolutely the center of her world. She enjoyed baking, canning, jarring, crafts and sewing.
Surviving are her husband of 47 years, John N. Zernhelt, three children; Frank D. (Jennifer) Zernhelt, Delaware; Rebecca M. Manrodt, (Alexander), Hamburg and John J. Zernhelt, Tremont; Four grandchildren she adored; Chelsea, Quinn, Joseph and Aiden, three sisters; Sidney"Sis" Hoffman (Paul), Lykens, Judy Schwartz (Robert), Gratz, Lois Kimmel, Donaldson, six brothers; Steve Barry ( Suzie), Fearnot; Richard Barry (Deborah), Valley View, Harvey "Mike" Barry (Bonnie), Pine Grove, Randy Barry (Lisa), Reading, William Barry (Sue), Tremont and Ronald Barry (Deborah), Virginia. Numerous nieces and nephews.

Kirsten Kepp, 55, of Shenandoah, passed away on Tuesday, February 8th, 2022, at her home.
Born in Kentucky on December 26th, 1966, she was the daughter of Susan Tinsley and her father Leslie who both preceded her in death.
She graduated from Lake Lehman High School in 1984 and then went on to nursing school to become a CNA. She worked for Bayada Hospice Care and was a very hard-working woman who loved her job.
Kirsten enjoyed taking day trips and especially loved to visit New York. She also enjoyed cooking, shopping, and wrestling.
Besides her parents, she was preceded by her brother Kameron, and her uncle Lester.
She leaves behind her loving companion, Jeff Maurer, her sons- Chad, Craig, and Cameron, her daughters- Courtney and Cassandra, along with 6 grandchildren. She was loved by so many and will be truly missed by many more.
