Born in Coaldale on October 19, 1925, Lucille was a daughter of the late Michael and Mary (nee Hall) Mellay. A 1944 graduate of Coaldale High School, she was employed as a supervisor for Magnetic Windings Company in Easton. Lucille was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Barnesville, PA.
The last of 8 siblings, she is survived by 4 nieces, a nephew, and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, February 11, 2022, in Christ Lutheran Church (White Church) Cemetery, Barnesville. COVID-19 protocols will be followed.

Linda L. Barr, 76, of Pine Grove, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022 in Seton Manor, Orwigsburg.
Born on February 12, 1945 in Pine Grove, she was a daughter of the late Beatrice J. Kembel Gahres.
She was a 1963 graduate of Pine Grove High School and a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Pine Grove.
Linda worked for the family business LDB Interstate Corp., Pine Grove.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Larry D. Barr, Sr.; a grandson Daniel Barr; and a brother Richard D. Gahres, Jr.
Surviving are two sons, Larry D. Barr, Jr. of Douglassville, Jeffrey Barr of Pine Grove; two grandsons, David Barr and Logan Barr; two sisters, Frances Heinbach and Judith Neidlinger.
All Services will be held at the convenience of the family with interment in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Pine Grove.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to the National MS Society, P.O. Box #91891, Washington, D.C. 20090 in her memory.

Michael J. Kaplafka, 49, of Pottsville, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2022 at Geisinger St. Luke’s Hospital, Orwigsburg, PA.
Born in Pottsville, February 13, 1972, he was a son of Colleen (Stankavage) Kaplafka and the late John Kaplafka, of Frackville.
Michael was a Machine Operator at Carpenter Technology, Reading, PA.
In addition to his mother, surviving are his fiancé, Wendy Haluska of Pottsville, her father, John Haluska of Ashland, her children, Brianna and Courtney Gregas (Joseph Imperato), her grandchildren, Evan Long and Benjamin Imperato; his two sisters, Kimberly Kaplafka of Bloomsburg and Nicole Kaplafka (Jason Ladick) of Minersville, two nieces, McKenzie Briggs and Eva Ladick, a nephew, Branden Goodrich, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 PM Monday, February 14, 2022 from the Nice- Hart Funeral Home, Inc, 9 North Lehigh Avenue Frackville. The Rev. Jack Murray will be officiating. . Friends may call from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.
She was born on Sunday, February 14, 1926, in Pitman, a daughter of the late George Specht and the late Florence (Gahres) Specht.
She was a 1943 graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School.
Norene was a seamstress in area garment factories, prior to her retirement.
She was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View.
She was also a member of International Ladies Garment Workers Union.
He husband Philip F Zerbe passed away in 2015. She was also preceded in death by her parents; by a brother, Franklin Specht, and a nephew, Carl Specht.
She is also survived by a son, James P Zerbe and his wife Elaine of Valley View; a nephew, David Specht of Pitman; and a niece Patty Feger of Pitman.
Funeral services will be held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Monday, February 14, 2022, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Suzanne Elliott officiating.
A viewing will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Monday at the funeral home.
Private burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
Born in Ravine, he was a son of the late William and Evelyn Reager Harris.
He attended Pine Grove schools. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
He was a member of Freiden’s Lutheran Church, Stein’s Mill and a member of the Masons. He is scheduled to be inducted into the Schuylkill County Allen-Rogowicz Sports Hall of Fame for Auto Racing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Harry and a sister Lorraine.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, the former Ruby Kratzer; 2 daughters, Dawn Sorokach and her husband Charles, Cass Twp. and Sherrie Beach and her companion Bob of Kulpmont; 3 sons, Kenneth Harris Jr. and his wife Dawn, Fredericksburg, Pa., Kevin Harris and his wife Jeanette, Tremont and Matthew and his wife Jenna, Branchdale; 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Private Services will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Donald J. Butler Funeral Home, Minersville.
Born in McAdoo, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Kovatch) Sellers.
Theresa was a graduate of McAdoo High School, class of 1956.
She was a member of Church of All Saints, McAdoo. Theresa was also a member of the former St. Stephen’s parish and the former St. Mary of the Assumption parish, both of McAdoo, and a prefect in the Altar Rosary Society.
Prior to retiring, Theresa was employed as a certified nursing assistant for over 14 years with Mt. City Nursing Home, Hazleton.
Theresa was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and will be sadly missed by all.
Preceding her in death, was her husband Francis “Cy” Sporay; brother Joseph Sellers; sister Bernadine Rynkiewicz; niece Susan Sellers; and nephew David Sellers.
Surviving, are her sons Richard Sporay, of McAdoo; and George Sporay and wife Jennifer, of Camp Hill; daughter Marian Merrick and husband Thomas, of Drums; grandchildren, Louis and Emily; nephews Joseph Sellers, of Boiling Springs; and Ronald Sellers, of Wyoming; and niece Kathleen Mihok, of Exeter.
Her funeral will be held Friday. Rev. Msgr. William Baker will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial in Church of All Saints, McAdoo, at 10 a.m. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
Calling hours are from 9 to 10 a.m. in the church.
