Thieves allegedly targeted a Good Samaritan along Interstate 81 in Luzerne County earlier this week.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Hazleton, on Tuesday, February 1st, 2022, a victim reported to Troopers that while driving northbound on Interstate 81 near mile marker 140 in Hazle Township, he was flagged down by a group of males stopped on the right shoulder.
The males told the victim they were having car trouble, but during the encounter, the males stole approximately $1,500 in cash and a Snap-On impact gun.
The suspects were described as three black males, dressed in all black clothing. Their vehicle was described as an early model burgundy Lexus or Infiniti possibly displaying Pennsylvania registration.
