Two people were injured in a crash near Ashland on Monday morning.

The crash occurred just before 6:00am on Route 54 between Ashland and Locustdale near 29th Street where two vehicles struck head on, throwing one from their vehicle.
The Washington Rescue, American Hose Fire Company, Lavelle Fire Company, Washington Ambulance, Shenandoah Ambulance, Area Services, Butler Township Police, State Police, and Ashland Police responded to the scene.
Both drivers were transported to an area hospital for their injuries.
The Ashland Police Department is investigating the crash.
As of 9:00am, the roadway was still closed. PennDot is assisting with the road closure.
