A fire destroyed a barn near Ringtown on Monday morning.
Just after 9:15am, Monday, emergency personnel were called to 460 Aristes Road, in Union Township for a barn fire.
The barn at Rumbel's Farm was fully involved and endangering the nearby home as firefighters arrived.
A quick response saved the home from any damage but the barn was destroyed.
The fire hit a 2nd alarm with a tanker force calling in help from across northern Schuylkill County as well as Columbia and Northumberland. Over a dozen tankers responded as part of the task force.
Just after 10:00am, the fire was marked under control.
No injuries were reported and no word on a cause at this time.
