Donald W. Peiffer, 74, of Frackville, passed away Tuesday February 22, 2022 at Broad Mountain Nursing & Rehab Center, Frackville.Born in West Milton, He was a son of the late Charles and Agnes (Miller) Peiffer.
Donald served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Following high school he graduated from McCann School of Business. He then worked for Car-Tech while also operating his own business, Don’s Fly fishing.
He was a member of St. Clair Wade United Methodist Church, where he served as Christ Servant Minister. He was a member of Berks County Fly Tyers and the Frackvlle Masonic Lodge
He was preceded in death by brother Dennis Peiffer.
Memorial Services will be held Thursday March 10, 2022 at 11:00 AM from Nice Hart Funeral Home, 9 N. Lehigh Ave. Frackville, PA 17931 with Rev. Jack Murray Officaiting. Friends may call from 10:30-11:00AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Clair Wade United Methodist Church Memorial Fund 23 N. Front St. St. Clair, PA 17970. Burial will be in Brandonville Union Cemetery.

Arlean E. (Jones) Teter passed away on March 7th, 2022 at the age of 97.
A Religious Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 12th at Hamilton - Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. in Orwigsburg, with Reginal Leibensperger officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM in the Funeral Home. Interment Services will be held in Friedens Lutheran Cemetery, New Ringgold.

Shirley Ann Kern, age 86, of MaryD, PA passed away with her family by her side on Sunday, March 6th, 2022.
Born in Port Carbon, PA on February 7, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Ulysses Stanley Grant and Sadie (Dahm) Willingham.
Shirley was a graduate of Port Carbon Soldier's Memorial High School. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Port Carbon, the President of the MaryD Fire Company Ladies Auxillary, and a Girl Scout leader. Shirley loved camping, attending her church, and most of all being with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Paul Kern on January 19, 2016 and her siblings Sadie Klemko, Charles Willingham, Ellen Holtzer, Marge Jenkins, Mary Machuzak, and James Willingham.
Shirley is survived by three daughters: Debbie Manis and her husband Tom, Donna O'Neill, and Sandi Chrush and her husband Serge; six grandchildren: Lisa, Shena, Jonathan, Gabrielle, Amanda, and Kali; six great-grandchildren; a brother Grant Willingham and his wife Judy; a sister Joyce Dereska; and nieces and nephews.
A Religious Service will be held at Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home in Port Carbon at 11AM on Wednesday, March 9th, with Rev. Jack Murray officiating.
Relatives and Friends are invited to a viewing on Wednesday morning from 9-11AM at the Funeral Home.
Interment will be held in the Sky-View Memorial Park Cemetery in Hometown.

Hazel Mary Sherry Whitley, 91 years of age, of Lake Hauto, Nesquehoning, passed away peacefully on Saturday March 5, 2022 at Scenic View Personal Care facility in Palmerton.
Born in Tamaqua to the late Paul E., and Mary E. (Stein) Sherry.
She is survived by; four children and their spouses, Don (Rose) Whitley, Paul (Amy) Whitley, Dianne (Mark) Robbins, and John (Belinda) Whitley; seven grandchildren, Krystle, Gabrielle, Robert, Andrea, Tara, Kira, Jenna; great grandchildren, Oliver, and Hazel; siblings and their spouses, Dr. Rev. Paul (Mary) Sherry, Dianne (Edward) Savitsky, Edward (Betty) Sherry, Robert (Sherry) Sherry and Jim (Amber) Sherry.
Hazel, known as Mammam to her grandchildren, was loved by all who knew her. She was a 1948 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School, and a proud graduate of Philadelphia General Hospital Nursing program in 1951. She devoted her nursing career to working for the State of Pennsylvania where she looked after her patients with deep caring until her retirement in the early 1990’s. Hazel, has enjoyed her time since then being involved in multiple churches throughout the community; watching and feeding birds - especially her favorite, the hummingbird; and spending time with siblings, children, grandchildren and even great grandchildren. She particularly adored her time with the little ones.
