Barbara R. Pepper, 82, of. Clair, died Thursday April 7, 2022, at LVHN Schuylkill East.Born in St. Clair, May 12, 1939, She was a daughter of the late William and Barbara (Gall) Thomas.
She was a graduate of St. Clair Area High School;
Barbara worked as a Seamstress at the St. Clair Garment and retired as a custodian from the St. Clair Borough.
She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, St. Clair.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Pepper, Jr. in 2015; a sister Margaret Sullivan; 3 brothers John, Joseph and William Thomas.
Surviving are Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and nephews. Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday April 21, 2022 at the Bruce T Hart Funeral Home 110 N. Second St. Saint Clair PA 17970 with Pastor Jenny Strauch officiating. Friends may call from 9:30-10:30AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Simon Kramer Institute 15 Alliance St. New Philadelphia, PA 17959. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, St. Clair.

Edith M. Marmas, age 65, a loving Wife, Mother, and Nanny of New Philadelphia, PA passed away Friday, April 15th, 2022 at her home
Born in Pottsville on September 22, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Anna (Kriston) Young.
Edith was a 1974 graduate of Pottsville Area High School. She last worked at Boscov's Department Store in Pottsville.
Edith married Daniel A Marmas Jr on July 24, 1976 at St. Stephen's Church in Port Carbon. Edith was of the Catholic faith. She loved going to the beach with her family, collecting owls, and watching her grandchildren play T-Ball, football, baseball, and softball.
In addition to her parents, Edith was preceded in death by her sisters Janet T. Young Marmas and Judith A Young Sisko.
In addition to her husband Daniel, she is survived by her three children: Daniel A. III, husband of Lauren, Christine and Denise, wife of Chris Wallace, and five grandchildren: Hannah, Christopher, Daniel, Chase, and Luke, all of New Philadelphia; a brother Ralph J. Young, husband of Patricia, Minersville; a sister-in-law Diane V. Haslam, New Ringgold; and nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
A Religious Service will be held for immediate family only at the Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home in Port Carbon at 11AM on Wednesday, April 20th, with Msgr. William Glosser officiating.
Edith's immediate family are invited to a viewing on Wednesday morning from 9-11AM at the Funeral Home.
Interment will be held in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in New Philadelphia, PA.

Frank Yusella, 93 years of age, of Gay Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at Hometown Nursing & Rehabilitation Ctr. in Tamaqua.
Born Sunday, July 8, 1928 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania. the son of the late Peter, and Mary (Komanitsky) Yusella. Frank was also predeceased by; sisters, Mary McHugh, Anna Yusella, Lucy Vituli, infant sister Julie; brothers, Michael, Peter, John, and Wash Yusella
Surviving are; his wife, Margaret A. Marino; daughter, Christine Huegel wife of Stanley of Tamaqua; son, Frank John Yusella and his wife Bonnie of Fleetwood; brother, Steve Yusella and his wife Ann of Pottsville; step sons, Francesco Armenise and his wife Jill, Guistine Armenise and his wife Guiseppa, Anthony Armenise; grandchildren Ryan Yusella, and Justin Huegel; 5 step grandchildren.
A 1948 graduate of the former Coaldale High School, Frank served honorably in the United States Navy during the Korean War as a pipefitter, and plumber. He owned and operated Yusella's Plumbing & Heating for many years. Frank was catholic by faith.
Frank was an ardent Philadelphia Phillies, and Penn State Nittany Lion fan.

Joyce M. Wollyung, 94, of Tower City, passed away peacefully early Saturday morning, April 16, 2022.
Born in Tower City, October 15, 1927, a daughter of the late Lester and Esther Bowman Shomper. She was a retired seamstress from the former Bestok garment factory where she worked for over 36 years.
Joyce was a life long member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Tower City where she was a former Superintendent and Sunday School teacher and a member of the Tower City American Legion Auxiliary.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, William "Mort" Wollyung, 2012, three sisters; Rose Bailey, Ida Heberling and Jean Gibson, two brothers; Paul and Robert Shomper.
Surviving are her children; William Wollyung, Jr., (Jill), Pine Grove, Patricia Schaeffer (Marti), Harrisburg and Linda Sahm (Steve), Florida. Five grandchildren; William Wollyung, III, Lecia Underkoffler, Tammy Schaffer, Jon Schaeffer and Andrea Updegrove, six great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. Numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at 11:00 am from St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Tower City with Rev. Donald Hayn officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery. Viewing will be from 10-11 at the church.
Memorial donations in Joyce's memory can be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 415 E. Grand Avenue, Tower City, PA 17980.

Fred W. Herb Jr., 82, of Locustdale, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2022, with his family by his side, at his home. Born in Mt. Carmel, January 17, 1940, he was the son of Fred and Hilda Herb Sr. He attended the former Butler Township High School, Fountain Springs, and was employed as a machinist in Reading for many years, later retiring from the Tri State Envelope Corporation, Ashland. Fred was a member of the Christ Evangelical Congregational Church, Lavelle, and in his spare time he loved Salmon fishing on the Pulaski River in New Your State. He was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Wolfgang, and a daughter in law, Christine Herb.
