Shirley was born in Schuylkill Haven, on July 24, 1931, a daughter of the late Vera M. (Berger) and Lewis C. Dreisbach.
She was the widow of Charles John Saylor.
Shirley graduated from Schuylkill Haven High School with honors in 1949. She was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church. She was employed in the office of her father’s business, L. C. Driesbach’s Garage and also worked for the Schuylkill Haven School District as a lunch time aide from 1980 to 1992. Shirley loved flowers and working in her garden. She loved taking walks and could be seen by many walking around Stoyer’s Dam near where she grew up. One of her favorite places was the Hereford Lighthouse in Wildwood. Her life was centered around family. Her most important job was being a homemaker and she was very proud of it.
She is survived by her sons Charles B. "Chuck" Saylor and Jeffrey A. Saylor both of Schuylkill Haven.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, May 6th at Geschwindt Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc in Schuylkill Haven, with Rev. William Parrish officiating.
A viewing for family and friends will be held prior from 9:30 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.

James H. Pitts, 82, Girardville passed away on Thursday, April 28th at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest, Allentown.
Born in Girardville, he was a son of the late Harry and Adha James Pitts.
Jimmy was a United States Navy Veteran and worked as a custodian for North Schuylkill Elementary School until his retirement. He was an avid Eagles Fan.
Jimmy is survived by his companion of 30 years, Ida Canavan and her family including two daughters: Cindy Reinoehl and Mary Hertz; two sons: Timmy Reinoehl and Michael Reinoehl; numerous grandchildren including Shannon Madden; his best friends, George and Louise Canavan and a god-daughter Jean Ann Parfitt.
Funeral services will be held at 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3rd from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Girardville . Friends are invited to his visitation from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Interment with Navy military honors will be held at 2 p.m. at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

LeRoy Oscar Scheffler, Jr., 74, of New Ringgold, passed away Tuesday, April 26th, at Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center, Camp Hill.
LeRoy was born in Northampton, PA on August 19, 1947, a son of Anna (Wolfe) Filandino and the late LeRoy Oscar Scheffler, Sr., He was raised by Cosmo Filandino, Sr.
He was the husband of Claire Joan (Hilbert) Scheffler. They were married January 6th, 1968.
He graduated from Plymouth White Marsh High School in Plymouth Meeting and he served in the U.S. Air Force in the Vietnam War.
He taught electromechanical trades for the Schuylkill Technology Center, Frackville and the reading Vo-Tech School.
LeRoy was an avid golfer and tradesman. He built his own house along with other houses in the area. He enjoyed singing harmony barbershop music and was a director locally. He and his wife Claire enjoyed travelling and he especially enjoyed his trips to the Grand Canyon and Ireland.
In addition to his wife Claire of 54 years and his mother Anna, LeRoy is also survived by two sisters, Christina Filandino and Companion Wayne Keevers and Pamela, wife of Robert Evans and a brother, Cosmo Filandino, husband of Audrey; granddaughter Leigh Anne Scheffler and her friend Ryan Culbert; great grandson Nikola Lee Scheffler. Also surviving are aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
LeRoy was predeceased by his daughter Annette Snisky and brothers Garry Scheffler and Joseph Filandino. A religious service will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, May 5th at Hamilton - Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. in Orwigsburg with Msgr Rev. Edward Zemanik officiating. Born on September 8, 1968 in Pottsville, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Hoffman and Margaret Houser Kimmel. She attended Schuylkill Haven schools and worked in the garment industry.
Melanie is survived by her companion of 6 years, Donald Groff; two daughters, Kiesha Kimmel, Schuylkill Haven, and Tempest Carl, Lehighton; two grandsons, Aleister Pilz and Pierce Fisher; her brother-in-law, Zachary Miller, Schuylkill Haven, her niece, Sasha Miller, Schuylkill Haven; aunts, uncles and cousins.

Born in Morea on December 15, 1930, she was a daughter of the late John and Julia (Koch) Debuski.
She was a graduate of the former Mahanoy Township High School.
Vera was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, Shenandoah and the former St. George’s Church. She was also a member of the Greater Shenandoah Area Senior Citizens.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband, Edward J. Chisick in 2000; five brothers, Michael, Andrew, John, Stephen and Peter Debuski; and two sisters, Mary Antalosky and Ann Richter.
Surviving are her daughter, Linda Monaghan and her partner Candy Krammes of Mechanicsburg; three grandchildren, Kelly Monaghan and her partner Natalie of Elizabethtown, Lynette Monaghan of Sugar Land, Texas, and Larissa Monaghan of York; six great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson; her sister, Margaret Horbacz of Largo, Florida; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at 10:00 am in Divine Mercy Church, 232 West Cherry Street, Shenandoah with Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor as the celebrant. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Dawn Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. A viewing will be held on Thursday morning from 9:00 am until 10:00 am at Divine Mercy Church.

He was a graduate of St. Basil’s Prep School and St. Basil’s Seminary College in Stamford, Conn. and Catholic University in Washington, D.C. Rev. Archpriest Uriy was Ordained April 10, 1965, in Philadelphia. Throughout his Priestly service, he served with numerous parishes: Passaic, Jersey City, Millville, Rutherford, Great Meadows, Whippany, and Ramsey in N.J.; Philadelphia (St. Josaphat), Lyndora, Nanticoke, Chester, Warrington, Plymouth, West Easton, Reading, Minersville, and Mount Carmel in Pa.; Baltimore and Curtis Bay, Md., St. Basil Prep, Conn., and St. Petersburg, Fla. He was instrumental in the building of St. Michael the Archangel Church in Baltimore.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Bohdan, Roman, and Walter. He is survived by his sister Helen Obaranec, nephews George Obaranec (Kristen), and Myron Obaranec (Carolyn) and great-nephew Andrew. Friend and caregiver was Christine Matus.
Visitation is Wednesday, May 4, with calling hours 3:00 to 6:00 pm at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, Minersville, Pa. A Priestly Parastas is scheduled for 6:00 PM with the Most Rev. Reverend Borys Gudziak,

David G. Frederick, 70, of West Penn Township, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2022, in St. Luke’s Hospice, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Lisa (Lazur) Frederick. They were married on June 6, 1987 and celebrated 34 years of marriage. Dave was a lifelong self-employed general contractor and builder. Born in Pottsville, he was the son of the late Roland C. and Kathryn L. (Barlet) Frederick. He was a member of St. John XXIII Catholic Church, Tamaqua. He had a passion for trains and cars. Dave was instrumental in acquiring multiple locomotives, including the Whitcomb locomotive that is displayed at the West Penn Township Annex Building. With his knowledge and love for trains, he also donated countless hours to preserving the local history of the railroad. He was a big-hearted man who followed his dreams by establishing the Chain Circle Shortline, which he proudly exhibited at his West Penn residence. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Jake. Surviving in addition to his wife, is a son, David II, of Los Angeles, CA; three daughters, Kimberly, wife of Tom O’Leary, of Millsboro, DE, Laurie Legard, of Missoula, MT, and Molly Frederick, of New Tripoli; brother, Ronald Frederick, and his wife, Renee, of Blue Ball; sister, Carol Ann, wife of Marlin Schock, of Catawissa; six grandchildren, Aaron, Damon, Jessica, Dylan, Monet, and Adriano; nieces and nephews.
