Joann U. Yotko, 80, of Shenandoah, PA, passed away Thursday, April 7th, at Geisinger St. Luke's Hospital, Orwigsburg.

Joann was born in Shenandoah, PA on August 27, 1941, a daughter of the late Josephine (Spolidare) and Victor Jankaitis and lived most of her life in Shenandoah.

She was employed as a Registered nurse at Pinacle Home Health Care. Joann is retired.

She was long time member of the Catholic Daughters.

Joann attended J. W. Cooper HS and the Hazleton Hospital School of Nursing.

She enjoyed going to the casino, going to bingo, watching the Food Network, and Jeopardy.

She was wife of the late Richard Yotko who died in 1980.

Joann was also proceeded in death by her sister Dolly Schiavone and by her longtime companion James Hyland formerly of Mahanoy City.

Joann is survived by two sons, Richard Yotko, and his companion Jonna Hope of

Shenandoah Heights: Steven, husband of Mitzila Yotko, of Bonaire GA. Granddaughter Natalie Yotko of Jensen Beach FL. Grandson Brian Yotko and his wife Jessica of Bonaire GA. and their son Emerson. Granddaughter Courtney Karlavage and her husband Terry of Shenandoah and their son Daishon and daughters Lexus and Novah. Step grandson Mario Ponce and his wife Crystal and their sons Julian and Adrian

And their daughter Maya of Warner Robins GA.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Bonita "Bonnie" K. Betz,.78, of Sweet Arrow Lake Rd., Pine Grove, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at home surrounded by her family.

Born on January 8, 1944 in Pottsville, she was a daughter of the late Wesley Levan and Edith Reed Fisher.

She was a 1961 graduate of Pine Grove Area High School.

Bonnie loved The Lord and sharing His Love with others. Her greatest joy was raising her children, and her love of little ones was evident during the years she worked at the daycare.

She was a member of Bethesda EC Church in Reedsville.

Bonnie was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Aurie.

Surviving are her husband of 48 years, Rodney L. Betz, Sr.; five children, Kendra Perry and companion Dan Miller of Johnstown, Rodney Jr. and wife Cindy Betz, David "Jay" and wife Kelly Hunkapiller, David and wife Christen Weaver, Sandra Betz, all of Pine Grove; 9 grandchildren, Kara, Ethan, Emily, Angelo, Jeremy, Olivia, Rodney Allen, Sonny, Solana; 3 great grandchildren; two brothers, Wesley and wife Sally Levan, Marlin Sr. and wife Deb Levan; a sister, Sandra, wife of the late Eugene "Honker" Zerbe, all of Pine Grove; nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Bethesda EC Church, 155 Reedsville Rd., Schuylkill Haven, Pa. 17972 with Pastor Jeff Byerly officiating. There will be a visitation on Saturday, April 23, 2022 from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to the Fresh Start Animal Rescue League, P.O. Box 96, Friedensburg, Pa. 17933 in her memory.

Mary L. Ferrebee, 82, of Carbon St., Pine Grove, passed away on Friday, April 8, 2022 in Geisinger St. Luke's Hospital, Orwigsburg.

Born on November 21, 1939 in Pottsville, she was a daughter of the late Edwin and Irene Klouser Dinger.

Mary loved flowers and animals, especially cats and dogs.

Preceding her in death were her husband of 55 years, Gene F. Ferrebee and two brothers, Leroy Dinger and Lamar Artz.

Surviving are a son, Lee Ferrebee and companion Ana Jimenez of Pine Grove; a daughter Cheryl and husband Michael Goodman of Hershey; grandchildren and great grandchildren; three brothers, Earl Dinger of Newtown, Richard and wife Judy Dinger of Donaldson, Gerald and wife Sandy Dinger of Molleystown; nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove, with Pastor Barry Spatz officiating. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., 139 S. Tulpehocken St., Pine Grove, Pa. 17963 in her memory.

May (Mammie) L. Schrader
, 94, of Auburn, passed away peacefully, Friday, April 8th, while in the company of family, at her residence under hospice care.

May was born in Auburn, on May 22, 1927, a daughter of the late Alice (Strause) and Edwin D. Webber.

She was the widow of Earl J. Schrader.

She was a member of Zion's Red Church Orwigsburg, and she graduated from Auburn High School, Class of 1945.

She was employed, for over 28 years, as a Machine Operator for Hubler Shoe Company, in Auburn. She also worked for Wright Knitting Mills for over 8 years. She retired in 1992.

May is survived by her son, Barry Schrader, widower of Bonnie.

She is also survived by 6 Grandchildren including Michele Yob, Donna Garland, wife of Dave, Michael Yob, Jr. Companion of Yvonne Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren.

Also surviving are her Son in Law Michael Yob, Sr.; Niece Pamela Hopstetter and Nephew Michael (Pickle) Santella and other numerous nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Nancy Yob in 2019, son Robert Rhine and an infant Great Great Grandson Kaden Krause in 2017. Mammie was also preceded by four sisters Faye Santella, Violet Strouse, Betty Reber, Ruth M. Reber and her two brothers Carl Webber and Edwin D. Webber.

A Religious Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 18th at Hamilton - Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. in Orwigsburg, PA with Rev. Walter W. Breiner, Jr. officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM.

Interment Services will be held at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Zion's Red Church, 1287 Centre Turnpike, Orwigsburg, PA 17961.

Peter Malinchock, Jr.
, 77, of Frackville, passed away Saturday, April 2, at the Lebanon VA Medical Center.

Born in Butler Township he was a son of Peter and Mary (Nojunas) Malinchock. Peter was a graduate of Frackville High School and Mansfield State College where he earned a Degree in Music

During the Vietnam War, he joined the U.S. Air Force and served as a member of the Air Force Band traveling to many locations throughout Southeast Asia entertaining Presidents, Kings and of course our Troops.

Peter experiences several different career choices in the services industry, but always returned to his basic love of music. He composed, copyrighted, and published several pieces. Favoring vocal music, he was a member of several Schuylkill County Chorus Groups, principally the Ashland Area Community Choir of which he was a member for the last fifty years.

Peter is survived by his brother Robert and his wife Karen, living in Leesburg, VA; his many nieces and nephews include Michael Malinchock, Stephen Malinchock, Jill Arias and Kristen Thomas and nine great nieces and great nephews.

Religious Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 11, at the Albert L. Gricoski Funeral Home, 48 N. Broad Mountain Ave. Frackville, with Rev. Brian Miller, as celebrant. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Englewood/Frackville.

With her family by her side, Eleanor M. Bettinger, 80, of Tremont, passed away, Friday, April 8, 2022 after a brief one month illness.

Born in Pottsville, November 7, 1941, a daughter of the late Horace and Esther Carl Kintzel. Eleanor was a graduate of the former Quincy School, Quincy, PA.

She was retired from the Schuylkill County Agency on Aging, where she worked in the Fiscal Department.

She was a former member of the United Methodist Church, Tremont.

Eleanor enjoyed trips to the casino, playing games on her computer, playing BINGO, but most of all being surrounded by her family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Dion Bettinger, August 25, 2021 and a brother, Gerald Kintzel.

She is survived by her husband Ronald H. Bettinger, and would have celebrated 60 years of marriage in August; one son, Michael Bettinger and his wife, Jane, Tremont; four grandchildren; Ronald T. Bettinger, Morgan Ossman, Regina and Liam Bettinger, four great grandchildren; Logan, Eric Jr., Levi and Lydia, a sister, Barbara Rhody, West West Terrace. Nieces and nephews.

Following Eleanor's wishes there will be no services.

Sandra Lee Sauers, 78, of Hegins passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at her residence.

She was born on May 10, 1943 in Pitman, a daughter of the late Elwood and Daisy Blossom Kissinger Thomas.

Sandra was a 1961 graduate of Tri-Valley High School.

She was a nurses aide for Pinnacle Home Health Hospice, Pottsvill .

She was a former member of the Church of the Nazerene, Lavelle.

Sandra enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald G Sauers, to whom she was married for 57 years; an infant son Karl Elwood; and a brother, Mark Dinger.

She is survived by son, Christopher T Sauers of Hegins; two daughters, Greta S. and husband Kevin Weiss of Saint Clair, Sara E. and husband Alan Bingaman of York Haven; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; a sister, Nancy Hillman of Cottage Grove, MN; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at a later date at the Christ Church Cemetery, Fountain Springs.

Mischelle Damrose L.P.N.
, 59, of Centre St., Ashland, passed away, with her family by her side, Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Born in Port Carbon, March 6, 1963, she is the daughter of Carol Roberts Rye, Ashland, and the late David Warfel. She was a graduate of the Blue Mountain High School, Schuylkill Haven, class of 1980, continuing her education at the South Schuylkill Vocational Center, Minersville, receiving her degree in Practical Nursing, and later at Cedar Crest College, Allentown, earning an Associate’s degree in Psychology. Mischelle was employed as a Practical Nurse for a health agency servicing area nursing homes until her retirement. She attended the First Methodist Presbyterian Church, Ashland, and was a member of the Frackville Area Senior Citizens. Preceding her in death her maternal grandparents, Ester and Carroll Roberts of Port Carbon, paternal grandparents, Edith and Roy Dougherty of Lancaster, and step brothers Daryl Clark, Tim Meadows, and L.C. Baggett.
