Born Saturday, August 25, 1945 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania. the daughter of the late Michael, and Charlotte (Hayes) Charnak. Mary Ann was also predeceased by; sister, Margaret Keiper; brother, Michael Charnak.
Surviving are; her husband of 58 years, and tender caregiver, Paul Macenka; daughter, Mary A. Hertzog wife of Ricky K. of New Ringgold; son, Paul J. Macenka and his wife Karen of Coaldale; brother, John Charnak of Nesquehoning, PA; grandson, Eric Hertzog and his wife Ashley.
A graduate of Nesquehoning High School, Mary Ann was a member of St. Mary's Russian Orthodox Church of Coaldale. Mary Ann, worked as a crossing guard, and meter-maid for the borough of Lansford. She retired from St. Luke's Miners Memorial Medical Center of Coaldale having worked in house cleaning and as the switch board operator. Mary Ann was an ardent Philadelphia Eagle's Football fan, and enjoyed cooking for her family.

A Funeral Service will be at 11 o'clock AM on Wednesday May 18, 2022 from St. Mary's Russian Orthodox Church 217 First Street Coaldale, Pennsylvania 18218, Father James Weremedic to officiate. Friends may call on the morning of from 9:30 A.M. until time of worship in church.
Private Interment will be in Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery Annville, Pennsylvania.

Born on November 3, 1943 she was the daughter of the late William E. and Marguerite A. Miller Moore. Ginger was a graduate of Porter Township High School.
She was a licensed beautician and enjoyed working in her salon until she retired in 2002.
She always took pride in her appearance. She loved to make silk flower arrangements, drawing, watching her favorite game shows, NASCAR, Penn State and NFL football. She also loved spending time with her dog Barney who also passed away recently.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Richard C. Messersmith and her brother Bruce W. Moore.
Surviving are her two children; Carol Reiner and her husband Rod, Tower City and Bruce Messersmith and his wife Sarah, Tower City, one grandson; Eric Reiner and his wife Cassondra, Muir, nieces and nephews.
Following Ginger's wishes there will be no services. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

Frances Barbara (Yadusky) Karas, formerly of Shenandoah and a resident of Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, Sunday, January 16, 2022, at the age of 101.
Born in Shenandoah, August 5, 1920, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Crishock) Yadusky. She married the late Edward Michael Karas in 1938 and together they raised six daughters in Shenandoah. Her husband died in 1998.
Frances was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, Shenandoah and formerly a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church, Shenandoah. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Church Rosary, Sacred Heart & Third Order Societies, and the church choir.
The simplest pleasures in life: cleaning, reading, singing, dancing, drawing, watercolors, sewing, caring for elderly friends and neighbors, reciting poetry, supporting the missions, and entertaining her grandchildren, brought the greatest joy to her life.
In 2006 Frances left her beloved family home and moved to Allentown and then Pittsburgh.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents and her husband, were her sisters, Florence Parillo (Victor), Isabel Sapeta, brothers, William Yadusky (Florence), Walter Yadusky (Connie) and sons-in-law, Charles Utz, Howard Lynn Millard, William Shepard, and Denis Manchon.
Frances is survived by six daughters, Sister Marilyn Karas - RSM, Dallas, PA, Elisabeth Utz, Erie, Teresa Karas (Jim Martin), Lutherville, MD, Ann Karas, Pittsburgh, Lucille Karas Jacobs (Tom Jacobs), Silver Spring, MD, and Cecelia Karas (Alberto Delia), Cresaptown, MD.
Grandchildren, Nathan Millard, Pittsburgh, Sarah Millard, Upper Falls, MD, Charles Utz, and Daniel Utz, Cambridge Springs, PA, Lauren Shepard Williams (Cory), and Ted Jacobs (Emily Short), Pacific Grove, CA.
Great grandchildren, Mae Ann, Ada Eudora and Eve Audrey Williams.
Nieces, Marlene Bouzida (Abby), Barbara Fish, Danielle Lettieri (Ron), Christine Hall (Steve), Carol Santucci, Donna Daros, and Nanette Binder.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, May 17th, 2022 from 10:30 to 11:30am at the Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc, 40 N. Jardin St, Shenandoah. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12pm in Divine Mercy Parish – Sacred Worship Site – St. Casimir’s, 229 N. Jardin St, Shenandoah and will be officiated by Msgr. Ronald Bocian. Burial will follow in St. Casimir’s Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.

Earl Heiber, 92, of Walnut Street, Ashland, passed away surrounded by his family, Saturday, May 14, 2022, at the York Terrace Nursing Center, Pottsville.
