Marlin D. "Koppy" Koppenhaver, 87, of Pine Grove, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville.
Born on March 18, 1935 in Bear Valley in Valley View, he was 1 of 13 children born to the late Lloyd and Annie Lubold Koppenhaver.
He was a graduate of Porter Tower High School.
Marlin worked in maintenance and retired from Guilford Mills in Pine Grove. He also served in the Army National Guard.
He enjoyed fishing.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Jackie Love Koppenhaver; a daughter, Debra Koppenhaver of Pine Grove; two sisters, Nancy Schadle of Tower City and Anna Mae Zurai of Jonestown; a brother Dean Koppenhaver of Tower City.
All services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Pine Grove.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to the Red Creek Wildlife Center, 300 Moon Hill Drive, Schuylkill Haven, Pa. 17972 in his memory.

Born on March 24, 1928 in Pine Grove Twp., she was a daughter of the late George W. and Jennie Mease Lehman.
She was a 1945 graduate of Pine Grove High School.
Arletta had worked at Miller's Store at Indiantown Gap Military Reservation.
She was a member of Salem Hetzel's UCC in Pine Grove, the former Mary E. Moore Chapter No. 372 OES and Amaranth Victory Ct. #149.
Arletta loved her family and spending time with them.
Preceding her in death were her husband of 52 years, Donald E. Brown, Sr.; three sisters, Irene Thomas, Marie Wolfe, and Rachel Salen; two brothers, Harold Lehman and Alvin Umbenhauer; and a daughter-in-law Babette Susan Brown.
Surviving are two sons, Donald E. Brown, Jr. of Pine Grove, Rodger and wife Linda Brown of Manheim; four grandchildren, Doran Brown, Daryl and wife Michelle Brown, Donald Brown, III, Rachel and husband Kevin Reichert; three great grandchildren, Joshua, Mallory and Avery Brown.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at 10:30 A.M. at Outwood Lutheran Church, 934 Oak Grove Rd., Pine Grove with Pastor Barry Spatz officiating. There will be a viewing on Thursday, June 2, 2022 from 9:30 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. at the Church. Interment will follow in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to Compassus Hospice and Palliative Care, 1001 James Dr. Suite B34, Leesport, Pa. 19533 or the charity of your choice in her memory.
The family does ask to dress casually for the service.

Born in Coaldale he was the son of the late William E. and Margaret (Hranchock) Breslin. He was a 1973 graduate of Marian Catholic High School and had been employed as a produce manager for Giant Food in Cressona. He was of the Catholic faith.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years the former Linda Forgotch, 2 daughters Amy Bartley and her husband Jeremy of Weatherly, Allison Misstishin and her husband Christopher of West West Terrace, grandchildren Kailyn and Izabel Jones, Ellie and Samuel Misstishin, and Liam and Hayden Bartley as well as one brother Terry Breslin of Bear Creek.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Ann Kasinecz Lowe, 74, of Mechanicsville, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born April 15, 1948, in Pottsville, she was the second of four daughters of Margaret (Sauers) and John “Katz” Kasinecz.
A member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, “#21” attended St. John’s grade school. She was a member of the Nativity B.V.M. High School Class of 1966.
Ann met the love of her life, Dick, at her sister’s wedding. Ann and Dick were married on May 3, 1969 and recently celebrated 53 years of marriage.
Her greatest achievement was as a world-class homemaker. She warmed the hearts and stomachs of visitors with her spirit, and her Snickerdoodle recipe. Ann was a dedicated (and often disgruntled) Phillies fan.
In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her sister, Kathleen Norkus, and nephews, Matthew and Mark Norkus. She is survived by her husband, Dick, Mechanicsville; Son, Gregory and his companion, Erica Gray; Daughter, Kelly, wife of Greg Matuczinski, Fredericksburg, Va; Daughter, Colleen, wife of Joseph Halko, Memphis, Tn; Grandchildren, Emily Matuczinski, wife of Dylan Davis, Saige Lowe, Bronwyn Gray, Erin Matuczinski, and Brendan Welsh-Lowe; Sisters, Peggy, wife of James Lengel, Tucson, Az; and Barbara, wife of John Powers, Pottsville; several Godchildren, nieces and nephews, and many cherished friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Pottsville at 10AM on Thursday June 2nd, with Rev. Kevin Bobbin officiating.
Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Wednesday evening from 5-8PM and Thursday morning from 9-10AM at the church.
Interment will be held in the St. John the Baptist No. 2 Cemetery in Pottsville.

Robert M. Frye, 60, of Tower City, passed away Thursday evening, May 26, 2022 at his home after a 2 month diagnosis with stage 4 cancer.
Born in Concord, North Carolina, February 4, 1962, a son of Patricia Lowery Frye, Florida, and the late Gerry Frye, who passed away May 9, 2022.
Bob was employed by Wal-Mart, Saint Clair.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Steven Frye.
He enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his mother is his companion of 18 years, Lori Gettle, with whom he resided; a daughter, Amber Wrona (Ronnie), Minersville; a son, Michael Frye, Florida; 4 grandchildren, Camiren Batz, Brian Scheib, Hunter and Samantha Wrona; one brother, Kevin Frye, Florida; one sister, Karen Linton, Georgia.

Barbara S Huntsinger, age 62, of Valley View, passed away Friday, May 27, 2022 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville after a brief illness.
She was born on Tuesday, July 7, 1959, in Pottsville, a daughter the late of Boyd Wedde and the late Beverly (Starr) Wedde.
She was a 1977 graduate of Tri-Valley High School.
Barbara was an administrator for the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency.
She attended St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View.
She is survived by her husband Darrell E Huntsinger, to whom she was married for 44 years.
She is also survived by a son, Kirby C Huntsinger and his wife Heather of Bellefonte; a daughter, Kari L King and her husband Kevin of New Cumberland; four grandchildren, Julia Huntsinger, Brennan Huntsinger, Carson King, and Caroline King; a brother, Randy Wedde of Camp Hill; a sister, Peggy Snyder and her husband Russell of Elizabethville; two step sisters, Rose Huntzinger of Lititz and Molly Masser of Mechanicsburg; her mother in law Lucille Huntsinger of Loyalton; a brother in law, Eric Huntsinger of Valley View; three aunts, Christine Gessner and her husband Jim of Leck Kill; Margaret Mitchell and her husband Edward of Ashland, and Annetta Troup and her husband Wayne of Ashland; a niece, Hilary Snyder of Germantown, MD; and several cousins.

Rodney “Chet” George, 82 formerly of Mahanoy City, peacefully passed away on May 26, 2022 ,at Providence Place Assisted Living, Drums, where he resided for the past three years. At the time of his passing, he was holding his wife’s hand and surrounded by his four children. Rodney battled the effects of multiple strokes in his recent years and showed great strength and courage in facing these challenges while continuing to show his love for his family until the very end.
Rodney was a 1958 graduate of Mahanoy City High School. He served in the Air Force Reserves from 1962 to 1968 and received an honorable discharge for his services.
Rodney always had a strong work ethic. He worked two jobs and any overtime that was available to him until his retirement. His favorite quote to say to his children was, “Make hay when the sun shines”. He began working on the farms in the Brandonville and Ringtown area at a young age. When he entered high school, he began working at Mike Dennison’s Auto in Brandonville. He viewed Mike Dennison, owner, not only as a boss but as a second father. It was Mike who gave him the nickname “Chet” and Rodney used that name throughout his life. He continued working for Mike Dennision as his second job until 1996. Rodney was employed by White Cap/Silgan, Valmont Industrial Park, West Hazleton for 49 years until his retirement in 2017 at the age of 76.
At age 16, Rodney met the love of his life, Helen Price, while cruising Center Street in Mahanoy City. He always told his children and grandchildren that he knew he would marry Helen from the moment he saw her standing there in her blue coat. Their first date was at one of Rodney’s favorite places, the Bloomsburg Fair, which they attended yearly until 2020. Rodney and Helen were married May 23, 1964 and went on to have four children.
Rodney didn’t have much time to himself since he was busy being a great provider, as well as a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He always volunteered to help maintain his children’s and grandchildren’s cars and to do work around their houses. He was a “jack of all trades”; plumber, mechanic, electrician, concrete pourer, chauffeur, and Christmas decorator, along with many others. In the little spare time he did have to himself, he loved to cheer on the Pittsburgh Steelers and Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs, visit and support the SPCA, and browse the Hometown Farmers Market, Blum’s Bid Board and Harry’s U-Pull-It.
When his children were young, he enjoyed camping with his family at Locust Lake State Park, Tuckahoe Acres, Delaware, and Granite Hill, Gettysburg as well as spending Sundays with family and friends at Knoebels or Angela Park. The highlight of his year for the past 20 years was his annual vacation with his entire family in Ocean City, New Jersey where he would spend his time riding his bike, strolling the boardwalk, and visiting his favorite restaurants.
Rodney was the son of the late Eva (Mummey) and Chester George, and was raised in Brandonville.. In addition to his wife, Helen of 58 years, he is survived by a son, Father Bob George, Summit Hill; 3 daughters, Debbie Stivers, Ringtown; Kathy Burke and husband Jimmy, Barnesville; MariaYoung and husband Kelly, Mifflinville; and 7 grandchildren, Jessica and Matthew Stivers, Kiera, Mason and Caden Burke, Giavanna Grutza and Maliyah Kiarney.
Rodney’s family is very grateful for the loving and compassionate care he received from the entire staff at Providence Place, Drums and Compassus Hospice and Palliative Care.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Rodney’s name to the Hillside SPCA.
Rodney will be laid to rest at the Sky View Memorial Park following a private family funeral service.

Dolores G. Berresford, 91, of Ringtown, passed away on Wednesday, May 25th, 2022, at the Lehigh Valley Medical Center – Schuylkill East, Pottsville, Pa.
Born on July 26th, 1930, in Shenandoah, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Gervel.
Dolores worked for many years in the local garment industry as a trimmer. She was an avid bingo player and loved the Miami Dolphins. She also enjoyed playing the football cards.
Besides her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Joseph J. “Skeeb” Berresford in 2011, her 4 brothers, Donald, Joe, Leon, and James Gerval, and 2 sisters, Ann Yadinsky and Irene Honus.
Surviving are 2 sons, Joseph Berresford III – Ringtown and Russell Berresford with his wife Mary Catherine – Shenandoah. 4 grandchildren, George DeAngelo and John DeAngelo with his wife Amber, Jason Berresford and Heather Yarnitsky with her husband Rick, 9 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren also survive.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, June 1st from 8:30 to 10:30am at the Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc, 40 N. Jardin St, Shenandoah. Scripture services will be conducted at 10:30am by Pastor Mindy Heppe. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.
