Born at the former Locust Mountain Hospital, he was the son of the late Leon and LaRue (Pelton) Bialek. He was a graduate of Mahanoy Area High School and attended Penn State University. He served with the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He had been employed as an officer for the Mahanoy City Police Department, owned and operated his restaurant BiLo's Island hot dog stand in Mahanoy City and last worked for and retired from SCI Mahanoy where he was a Machine Trades Instructor and Locksmith. He was a member of St. Richard's Church in Barnesville, a life member of the Rainbow Hose Fire Company in Schuylkill Haven, the American Legion and was a volunteer for the Char-Wills German Shepherd Rescue of New Ringgold .
Survivors include his wife of 36 years Beth and his adopted family Maggie O'Rourke, Kathy Sweeney and her husband Leo, and Susie and Laura Sweeney all of Barnesville and his cousins Jeannie and Joanne Paslawsky and Joseph Baddick and family.
Private services with military honors will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

James R. Miller, 87, of Joliett, passed away suddenly Thursday, May 26, 2022 at Lehigh Valley Medical Center - East, Pottsville.
Born in Joliett, May 15, 1935, a son of the late George and Ruth Bendigo Miller. Jim proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for eight years. He was a veteran of the Korean War.
He was retired from the Steel Foundry, working both in Reading and Lebanon.
He was of the Lutheran faith, a member of the Tower City Loyal Order of Moose, Tower City American Legion, Williamstown VFW, Orwin, Muir and Joliett Fire Companies. Jim enjoyed going to the horse races, fishing but most of all socializing with friends throughout the community.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Barry Miller, 3 brothers; Guy, Clair and Marvin Miller, three sisters; Audrey Brosius, Lois and Alice Boyer.
Surviving are his daughter, Barbara Geist and her husband Gary, Harrisburg, a grandson; Justin Geist, Harrisburg, two sisters; Faye English, Pine Grove and Joy Morgan, Hegins, a good friend and neighbor who was always there for Jim, Rick Lucas, Joliett. Nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Monday, June 6, 2022 at 11:00 am from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc., Tower City. Burial with military honors will be in the Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:30-11 am at the chapel.

Betty P. Sweigard, 92, of Tower City formerly of Halifax, passed away Friday afternoon, May 27, 2022 at her home.
Born in Klingerstown, March 17, 1930 a daughter of the late James and Marie Williams Sweigard. Betty was raised in Halifax and was a 1947 graduate of Halifax High School. She was retired from the former Kinney Shoe Factory, Millersburg.
She enjoyed needlework and crocheting. She was a former Avon sales representative in the Halifax area.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Sweigard, two sons; Randy and Richard Sweigard and two sisters; Shirley and Rachel.
Surviving are her four sons; Wayne, Kim, Timothy and Scott Sweigard; three brothers; Dallas, Jamie and Maxwell Sweigard, two sisters; Corrine Gelnett and Alfreda Zinn. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and a great great grandson.
Following Betty's wishes she will be laid to rest privately beside her husband in Bowerman's Cemetery, Enterline.

Michelle L. Krammes, 52, of Pottsville, formerly of Lykens, passed away unexpectedly Friday, May 27, 2022 at Lehigh Valley Medical Center - East, Pottsville after suffering a stroke two days prior.
She was born in Lebanon, October 3 1969, a daughter of the late Ralph R. and Donna Eisenhauer Ohnmacht.
Michelle enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She loved her two dogs, Shadow and Breeze and the color purple.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Ashley Krammes (Rachel Sadler), 2017 and a sister Lorie Eichert, 2006.
Surviving are her husband Thomas Krammes, Jr. to whom she would have celebrated 30 years of marriage on July 2nd, a daughter, Amanda Krammes, Pine Grove, one brother, Ralph D. Ohnmacht (Cheron), Halifax, father-in-law, Thomas Krammes, Sr., Pottsville, two brothers-in-law, Lamar Krammes and Kevin Brobst both of Minersville and a sister in law, Eleanor Krammes, Frackville.
Memorial services for Michelle will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at 7 pm from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc., Tower City.

Ted J. Shutt, Sr. 61, of Tower City (Orwin), passed away Friday night, May 27, 2022 at Lehigh Valley Medical Center - Allentown.
Born in Lykens, May 13, 1961, a son of Cardella "Cardy" Adams Shutt, Tower City and the late James Shutt. Ted was a 1979 graduate of Williams Valley High School. He was a United States Army Veteran.
Ted was employed as a carpenter at Ft. Indiantown Gap.
He was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Orwin, Orwin Fire Company, Orwin Gun Club, Tower City Moose, Tower City American Legion and F&G Conversation Club.
Ted enjoyed being in the outdoors, was an avid hunter, fisherman and a skilled carpenter. He was very proud to call himself an Orwin boy.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife Kathy L. Shaffner Shutt to whom they spent 32 years together, a son, Ted Shutt, Jr "TJ" and his fiance Brittany, Orwin, two daughters; Jessica Bobroski and her husband John and Sara Rice and her husband Dale, both of Tower City, a sister; Amy Grimm and her husband Earl, Williamstown, a brother; Wes Shutt and his wife Ruth, Orwin. Nieces and nephews; Missi Etzweiler, Wesley and Kenneth Shutt and Lizzie Grimm. Two grandchildren and one on the way.

Lisa Anne Conti, 47, of Ashland formerly Brandonville passed away Friday evening at Geisinger-Danville.
She was born on April 29, 1975 in Hazleton and was the daughter of Joann (Dettery) and Dennis Conti Sr.
Lisa attended Hazleton Area School District.
She was of the Catholic faith and also attended St. John’s Lutheran Church-Brandonville.
Lisa was the wife of Lonnie J. Wetzel, they were married on September 28, 2016.
She was stay at home mom raising her 5 children.
Lisa was a member of the former Citizens Fire Company-Brandonville and Brandonville Fish & Game.
Lisa was a strong advocate for children who were unfairly treated by various county children and youth services.
In addition to her husband and love of her life, Lonnie Wetzel, Lisa is survived by; parents Joann & Dennis Conti, Danville; brother Dennis “Hooter” Conti Jr. huband of Vickey, Danville; brother Michael Conti, Ringtown; sister Lori Conti, Danville; daughter Brandi Wetzel, Brandonville; son John Wetzel, Brandonville; daughter Kassie Wetzel, Mount Carmel; son Barry Conti, Ashland; son Ayvin Conti, Ashland; 2 grandchildren Jayden Wetzel, McAdoo and Kaydence Dye, Girardville; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She attended Philadelphia Schools and was employed as a secretary for Sears, and lastly as a waitress. Preceding her in death was her husband, Joseph J. Chatary.

Valerie Davis, 66, of McAdoo, passed away suddenly Wednesday at her home.
Born in Abington, she is the daughter of Elsie (Graham) Floray of Hazleton and the late Charles Floray.
Prior to retiring, she was employed at the former Boboli Co., Hazleton.
An active person, Valerie always kept busy. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, and she will be sadly missed by all.
Preceding her in death, were her husband Stephen D. Davis; son Stephen F. Davis; and sister Sharon Floray.
Surviving, in addition to her mother, are her daughters Maryellen Davis of McAdoo; and Cassena Davis of South Carolina; grandchildren Kylie and Taylor Dillon, and Kaitlyn, Steve, and Valerie Davis; great-grandson Broch Davis; brothers Charles Floray of Bethlehem and Harvey Floray of Hazleton; sisters Cindy Weikel of Nuremburg, Barbara Floray of Shenandoah, Marlene Nagel of Hatfield and Lorraine Nagel of Telford; and nieces and nephews also survive.

Keith M. Woll, 47, and Crystal S. Woll, 42, of Sweet Arrow Lake Rd., Pine Grove, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2022 and Tuesday, May 24, 2022, respectively, at home. They were married for 6 years and together for 15 years.
Born on January 21, 1975 in Camp Hill, Keith was a son of Lester Woll of Tremont and the late Edna Hubler McKleeven. Born on May 28, 1979 in Winchester, VA, Crystal was a daughter of the late Charles E. and Barbara Ann Keller Shingleton.
Keith was a graduate of Cumberland Valley High School. Crystal received an Associates Degree in Medical Coding and Billing from Kaplan University and worked at the Lebanon VA Medical Center.
Keith and Crystal attended Cornerstone Assembly of God Church in Wormleysburg and were married there in 2016.
Keith loved fishing and Crystal loved music and playing the guitar. They both loved their family.
Preceding Crystal in death was a brother Johnny Sears.
Surviving, are two daughters, Destiny Woll of Pa, Morgan VanMeter and fiancé Mathew Ruffner of Martinsburg, W.V. ; two sons, Jayden Woll and Levi Woll, both of Tremont; Crystals siblings, Robert Sears of Biglerville, Becky McDannel of Orrtanna, Billy Shingleton and Brian Shingleton, both of Augusta, W.V.
All Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
