A standoff in Ashland ended peacefully in Ashland on Sunday afternoon.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, Troopers responded to 1026 Brock Street, in Ashland around 10:30am for a disturbance.
When police arrived at the scene, they learned that Frank Paul, 49, of Ashland, recently returned to the home and caused damage.
Paul had just been released on $75,000 cash bail for a felony incident that occurred in the borough on May 20th, 2022.
Paul also had an active felony arrest warrant stemming from a separate incident on Saturday, May 28th, 2022.
When police arrived and investigated, they learned Paul was possibly in possession of several firearms. Attempts to contact him at the home were unsuccessful.
Paul refused to comply with commands from responding Troopers.
The Pennsylvania State Police Special Emergency Response Team was called and responded to the scene.
After approximately 6 hours, Paul exited the home and surrendered peacefully without further incident.
Paul was taken into custody and arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge David Rossi and locked up in Schuylkill County Prison on $150,000 straight cash bail.
