WEATHER ALERT: Tornado Watch Issued for Schuylkill County

Schuylkill County has been included in a Tornado Watch by the National Weather Service for Friday afternoon and early evening.

• HUNTINGDON 
• JUNIATA 
• LACKAWANNA 
• LANCASTER 
• LEBANON 
• LEHIGH 
• LUZERNE 
• MIFFLIN 
• MONROE 
• MONTGOMERY 
• MONTOUR 
• NORTHAMPTON 
• NORTHUMBERLAND 
• PERRY 
• PHILADELPHIA 
• PIKE 
• SCHUYLKILL 
• SNYDER 
• UNION 
• YORK

Storms are expected to push through the Schuylkill County area between 4:00pm and 6:00pm, Friday afternoon.

A tornado watch by the National Weather Service means the weather conditions for tornadoes are favorable.  Warnings are issued if a tornado has been sighted or indicated on radar.
