Schuylkill County Fairgrounds is the new site for this year’s expanded version of Schuylkill County PrideFest, this Saturday, June 11th, 2022. The event is scheduled to kick off at 12:00 noon and continue until 8pm.
Along with moving to it's new location, the 3rd Annual Pridefest promises to be bigger and has moved from July to June, which is also Pride Month.
Over the past 2 years, the event, which aims as entertaining, educating, and advocating Unity, Tolerance, Inclusion, Peace, and Love for the LGBTQ+ community, has continued to grow and draw thousands
Organizer and Executive Director, Mikaela Gavealetz says the new venue will host over 40 art vendors and crafters as well as a presence of various local, county, state, and national health organizations and outreach resources.
“I also would like to thank the Veterans Administration and the VA Hospital of Lebanon for making their way to this year’s PrideFest celebration.” “The VA has a wonderful transgender care program to which I am 100% vested.”
To round out the day three live bands will be taking the stage, two local bands and our headliner from New York City, Dan Kiernan. The music performances will be flanked by exciting and family friendly drag performances with music provided by DJ, Corrine Albright.
