A boil advisory has been issued for Ashland after an incident caused a loss in water pressure overnight.
According to the Borough of Ashland, residents should boil their water before drinking until further notice after a loss in water pressure occurred overnight.
Sources tell Skook News that sometime overnight, a tractor trailer struck a fire hydrant near Turkey Hill near Centre and 17th Street.
The incident caused a pipe to crack underneath the sidewalk causing the loss in pressure.
The tractor trailer fled the scene after the incident.
We are told State Police are investigating.
