Mahanoy City Man Arrested for Incident at Shenandoah Liquor Store


A Mahanoy City man is locked up in Schuylkill County Prison after an incident Friday evening at the Shenandoah Liquor Store.

According to Shenandoah Police, officers responded to a disturbance call that was placed by the employees of the Wine and Spirits at the Gold Star Plaza. According to the employees, a male came in to make a purchase of alcohol but was already heavily intoxicated.
 
The employee refused to sell alcohol to the male and he became belligerent. The male later identified as Thomas Hall Jr, 22, of Mahanoy city began to threaten to shoot the employees. After telling Hall to leave multiple times he complied and walked outside.

Hall then began to urinate in the parking lot. Hall attempted to go back inside Wine and Spirits but the employees had already locked the door. Hall then grabbed a safety cone from the parking lot and began to throw it off the building.

Hall would later be taken into custody by Shenandoah Police. 

He was arraigned by the on call Magisterial District Judge Stephen Bayer on charges of terroristic threats, trespassing, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, indecent exposure and public drunkenness. 

Hall was committed to the Schuylkill County prison unable to post $25,000(10%) bail.
