A power outage has left over 300 homes in the dark in Butler Township on Tuesday afternoon.
Just before 12:00pm, Tuesday, Fountain Springs, Creswell Gardens, and the surrounding areas including downtown Ashland lost power.
Earlier reports were the outage was due to a transformer issue in the area of Fountain Street and Carrie Streets in Fountain Springs.
Most areas were restored quickly but 356 homes along the Fountain Street areas of Fountain Springs, Cresswell Gardens, and the surrounding areas are still without power. Power is expected to be restored by 3:00pm.
