A Celebration of Life for Lewis A. Jordan will be held Sunday, July 3, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. with eulogy and remembrances at 2:30 p.m. at the B.P.O. Elks Lodge #1533, Third and Arch Sts. Frackville.
Relatives, friends, and the many fans of the Jordan brothers are invited to join in celebrating Lew’s life and his contributions to the band. Remembering the past with several displays and videos; share your memories of Lewis and the Jordan Brothers.

Charlotteann A. (Weller) Petlansky, 84, formerly of Pottsville, of Auburn, passed away
peacefully on Thursday at home.
Born in Pottsville on October 4, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd E. and Florence A.
(Bohler) Weller. She graduated from Pottsville Area High School in 1955. Charlotteann attended
Alvernia University as a senior citizen.
Charlotteann worked in the family’s business, The Weller’s Bicycle Shop, for many years. She
worked for the Schuylkill Intermediate Unit 29 in Marlin and for the Schuylkill Haven Area High
School District. Charlotteann was also active the Schuylkill Haven School Thon Fundraising
program and the Lake Wynonah Senior Pinocle Club.
She was a former member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Pottsville and recently attended
Bethesda E.C. Church, Reedsville. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star,
Orwigsburg, the International Lions and Cressona Lions.
Charlotteann was preceded in death by her two brothers, Donald and Kenneth Weller. \
She is survived by her loving son, Robert E. Petlansky and his wife, Barbara Ann, grandson
Robert L. Petlansky and his wife, Jolynn, granddaughter, Rebecca Lynne Petlansky and great
grandson, Hunter Robert Petlansky.

Janet Marie Weiss Bartholomew, 84, formerly of Pottsville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, June 21nd, at her home in Wellington Court at Hershey Mills, West Chester, PA.
Born in Pottsville, on May 13, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Weiss and Rita McMullen Weiss Keating. Janet was an only child and is the last of her immediate family.
She was a 1956 graduate of the first graduating class of Nativity BVM High School and served as a secretary at WPPA Radio Station in Pottsville and later as secretary to the President of Immaculatta College in West Chester.
Janet attended Saints Simon & Jude Catholic Church, West Chester.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James J. Bartholomew, to whom she was married 48 years; step-father, numerous sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
She and her husband spent much of their lives in West Chester and thought of Pottsville as their home, frequently visiting with and attending her husband's large family events.
Janet is survived by sisters-in-law, Frances C. Lorenz and Rita Foley, both of Pottsville; and three generations of nieces and nephews. She was aided in her final days by her niece, Hedy Bartholomew Stump, of Lebanon.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 28th, at 11:00 a.m. at Lord-Bixler Funeral Home, Inc., 1818 Mahantongo St., Pottsville, with Deacon Jack Quirk officiating. A viewing of family and friends will be held at 10:00 a.m. until time of service in the funeral home.
Interment will follow in St. John's No. 2 Cemetery, 2011 Mahantongo St., Pottsville.

William Pelko, 87, Frackville passed away peacefully on Friday, June 24th at Pottsville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Pottsville.

Rosemary Price, 68, Mahanoy City passed away unexpectedly at her home on Friday, June 24th.

Charles Phillip Hummel, Jr., age 31, of Pottsville, PA passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 22nd, 2022 at his home.
Born in Pottsville, PA on August 3, 1990, he was the son of Charles P. Hummel Sr. and Jane Hullihan.
Charles worked as a cook and was training to be a manager at Ruby Tuesdays Restaurant in Pottsville and had the greatest for his children and family. He also enjoyed rapping listening to music.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sons: Cashmire Hummel and Charles P. Hummel III; a daughter Ce'Ona Hummel; three sisters: Barbara Ann and Katherine Hummel and Krystle Hullihan; a brother Eric Hummel; and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Charles' services and internment will be held private for his family by the Robert A Evans Jr Funeral Home in Port Carbon

Anna E. (Dillow), Umbenhauer, 96, died Thursday, June 23, 2022 peacefully in the home she shared with her husband Elwood for the past 67 years. She and Elwood were married 74 years.
Anna was born March 9, 1926 to John H. and Anna E. Smolinsky Dillow.
Following her graduation from Pottsville High School, class of 1943, Anna worked as a bookkeeper for the former Hummel’s Furniture Store and then as a teller at the Miners National Bank.
After her children were in school, she returned to Hummel’s and then worked for the Pottsville Area School District in the Mt. Hope Elementary cafeteria. But her best job was that of being a wife, a mom, and a grandmother.
She loved to cook, but also enjoyed going out to eat. Vacationing with the family, especially camping, and vacations to Acadia and Sanibel were special times for her. She loved the holidays when all of the family could get together and she would cook the meal. Simple things like going for rides on the back roads and watching the birds at home meant so much to her.
Surviving along with her husband are a daughter, Diane Umbenhauer (wife of William Schaefer), Lansdale, a son, Robert (wife Debra), Pottsville, a brother, John H. (Jack) Dillow, Pottsville. Also surviving are a grandson, Dr. Andy Schaefer and his fiancée Dr. Naomi Clayman of Mountain View, California, a granddaughter, Dr. Emily Schaefer, Greenville, NC. She was preceded in death by a sister, Elsie Schreader (wife of George). Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
She was a member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church and was very active there, teaching Sunday School with the youngest children. The church nursery was dedicated in her honor.
Funeral services will be on Monday June 27th at 11AM at James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, with Rev. John Wallace officiating. A visitation will be held from 10AM until the time of services Monday. The family would prefer remembrances in the form contributions in memory of Anna be made to the Hillside SPCA, PO Box 233, Pottsville, PA 17901. Interment will be private at Indiantown National Cemetery, Annville.
