It is with great sadness and deeply broken hearts we must inform all family, friends and loved ones of the passing of Albert W. Dillman, 72, on June 6, 2022.

Born in Frackville, in 1950, he was a son of the late Robert and Irene O. Krell Dillman. He was employed for forty years for the Department of Labor and Industry being promoted numerous times. When he retired he held the position of Office Manager, of the Allentown Call Center.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Frackville. Albert was a 1967 graduate of the former Frackville High School and he enjoyed attending many class reunions. He was also a proud Army Veteran having served in Viet Nam as a medic. He was a lifetime member of Goodwill Hose Co #1, Frackville, where he served in many capacities throughout the years, member of Frackville American Legion, Post 398, lifetime VFW member, Masonic Lodge # 737 F&AM, Pulaski Lodge, member and past exalted ruler of Frackville Elks Lodge # 1533.

He was preceded in death by brothers; Robert, Ronald, Harry, David, Floyd and Francis Dillman, his sister Phyllis Holden and brothers-in-law Tony Kurdilla and Terry Devitt.

Albert is survived by his wife and companion Monica, brother Donald R. and his wife Winnie Dillman, Frackville, sisters; Joanne M. Kurdilla and Linda Dillman both of Frackville and Christine M. Devitt, Lehighton, numerous nieces and nephews he loved to joke and laugh with.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 13th at Zion Lutheran Church, 37 S. Broad Mountain Ave. Frackville, with Rev. Carl Shankweiler, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA on Tuesday at 3 p.m.. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 9 a.m until time of service.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations, in Albert’s name, be made to the Goodwill Hose Co., P O Box #25 Frackville, PA 17931

Cyril Kowalick
, 69, formerly of Shenandoah, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

He is now at peace after a long battle with multiple health complications.

Cyril was loved and will be greatly missed by his family and many special and good friends.

Religious services will be held on Friday, June 10, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. Deacon John Setlock will officiate. Interment will follow in Saint Casimir's Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. A visitation will be held from 9 until 10:30 a.m. Friday morning at the funeral home.

Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, Shenandoah, is in care of the arrangements.

Eleanor C. Fleming, 91, of Seltzer, Norwegian Township, passed away on Saturday at home.

Born on May 7, 1931 in Pottsville, she was a daughter of the late Edward P. Young and Ella (nee Gombola) Young. She resided in the Fishbach neighborhood of Pottsville as a young woman; but spent most of her life in Southeast Pennsylvania before returning to Schuylkill County.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Fleming, in 1988; her sister, Barbara Shappell; her brother, Edward “Duke” Young.

Eleanot is survived by nieces and nephews, including her caregiver, Jean Marie Shappell, with whom she resided.

Services are private. Interment will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park.

Garth A. Lakitsky
, of West Penn Township Tamaqua, Pennsylvania died on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at home while in the care of his family, at 53 years of age.

Born Wednesday, July 3, 1968 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Joseph and Jacqueline (Jones) Lakitsky of New Ringgold. In addition to his parents, Garth is survived by; fiancé Connie Ann (Kuntz) Arthur; son, Garth J. Lakitsky and his wife Kailee of Andreas; brother, Joseph D. Lakitsky and his wife Linda of Downingtown; grandchildren, Garth G., and Etta E. Lakitsky; step children, Lindsey Lesisko, Tiffani Arthur, Serena Arthur; step grandchild, Brooke Lesisko; nephew, Zachary Lakitsky.

A 1986 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School, Garth was a tremendous athlete. He played varsity football, and was a PIAA State medalist in wrestling having placed 3rd & 4th. Garth transitioned his athletic prowess to Lycoming College and continued his athletic dominance on the gridiron and in the wrestling room. He was a four time Mid Atlantic Conference Wresting Champion, 4 time wrestling All American in division three, qualifying for the division one wrestling tournament.

After college, Garth worked for Prudential Insurance, Mack Truck, and owned the former Score's Pub in Clamtown, and Bombers Restaurant in Palmerton.

Garth was fun loving, easy going, kind hearted and free spirited. He touched many people’s hearts in his short life span.

An avid outdoorsman, Garth enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family.

Daniel D. Marcinowski Sr., 80, of Barnesville, formerly of Shenandoah Heights, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill E. Norwegian Street, Pottsville.

Born January 18, 1942, in Shenandoah, he was a son of the late Frank and Jean (Sobolewski) Marcinowski.

He was a graduate of the former J.W. Cooper High School, Shenandoah.

Dan was a US Army veteran.

Prior to his retirement, Dan was employed at Hamburg Center.

He was a member of the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Shenandoah, and was a former member of Saint Richard's Church, Barnesville. Dan was a member the Knights of Columbus, Francis Cardinal Brennan Council 618 and the Polish American Fire Company No. 4, both of Shenandoah and the Frackville American Legion Post 398.

Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were his daughter, Lori Ann Russell, in January 2013, and his brother, Frank Marcinowski.

Surviving are his wife, Anna Marie (Kline) Marcinowski; his son, Daniel D. Marcinowski Jr. and his wife, Kirsten, of Fountain Springs; four grandchildren, PFC Jordan Russell stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia, and Taylor and Madison Russell and Zachary Marcinowski; his son-in-law, Brian Russell, Sr. of Frackville; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Religious services will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. Deacon John Setlock will officiate. Interment with military honors will follow in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. A visitation will be held from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Jamie L. Underkoffler
, 39, of Pine Grove, formerly of Tower City, passed away suddenly Monday morning, June 5, 2022 at his home due to complications of end stage kidney disease.

Born in Pottsville, March 9, 1983, a son of the late Ronald and Diane Carl Underkoffler. Jamie was a 2001 graduate of Williams Valley High School.

Prior to becoming ill, he was employed in the graphic design and the construction fields.

In his free time, he enjoyed working on and building mini bikes. Jamie had a talent for electrical work and epoxy design.

In addition to his parents, Jamie was preceded in death by a brother, Logan Mitchell, and sister, Shelly Klinger.

Surviving are his biological parents, Yvette Underkoffler Pfeffer with whom Jamie was currently residing, and John Stroup, Lykens; a son who he was extremely proud of, Jaden Underkoffler; a sister, Jenna Bender; two brothers, Kelly Underkoffler and Austin Pfeffer.

A celebration of Jamie's life will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at 7:00 pm from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc., with Pastor Annette Shutt officiating. Visitation will be from 6-7 pm at the chapel.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dimon Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 644 E. Grand Ave., Tower City PA, 17980.
