Shenandoah Valley played host to Mrs. T's Pierogies on Friday so the company could shoot a commercial.
The pierogi making company, Simone Associates, and Allebach Communications, were working on a new 15-second commercial shoot for their next national
Foodservice video advertisement that focused on the K-12 Schools.
Meghan Heim, Mrs. T's Assistant Public Relations Manager said they wanted to shoot the commercial in the company's hometown of Shenandoah, so they recruited some members of the Little League and Softball teams to take part.
The shoot lasted most of the day Friday inside Shenandoah Valley's elementary cafeteria.
The kids involved went through wardrobe, had their makeup and hair done, and got the full production experience, with rehearsals and retakes.
When asked what they learned most from the shoot, they said they were amazed how much work went into a 15-second commercial.
On top of utilizing local talent for the commercial, Mrs. T’s plans to donate $2,000 to the Shenandoah Valley Foodservice Department and $1,250 to both Shenandoah Area Girls Softball and Shenandoah Little League organizations for a total of $4,500.
